Xbox is locked into the second wave of Game Pass games that will be featured in the subscription service in April 2025. This is an interesting mix of virtual worlds, from big names to indie d’or rings to outstanding new role-play games.
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is a big highlight here as the debut work of a brand new role-playing game and Studio Sandfall Interactive. The RPG sees the expedition team on the last leg, sails towards the end of the world, erasing people as old as the number she writes on the horizon. It’s the first day on Game Pass Ultimate and PC on April 24th.
Towerborne’s game preview will also head to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC on April 29th, bringing action gameplay to the April Game Pass lineup. Several hard-hitting batsmen from past years also face the return of Grand Theft Auto V to today’s game pass, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, which will arrive on May 1, and Horror Fishing’s Gem Dredge will surface on May 6.
Keep an eye out for Tempopo, a cute puzzle game about saving musical flowers on various Sky Islands for deeper cuts. It came from the team behind the inspiring Sim unpacking of the story, and attracted considerable attention for literally using untold boxes to tell effective, emotional stories. Tempopo will go to the Cloud, Console and PC Game Pass on the release date April 17th.
Also, if you missed the speed running shooter hit Neon White, you’re heading towards the console’s game pass standard on April 16th. Fans of time trials should make time for it.
