IThere’s yet another year WWE 2K release. The past few years have been very good for the franchise. WWE 2K24 What was built on the strong foundation on which it was placed WWE 2K22 and WWE 2K23. We have now WWE 2K25the aforementioned foundation is a game that you want to build a bigger platform by being an annual roster update, as we tend to see in other annual sports-based game franchises. WWE 2K25 From the enhanced creation suite to WWE Universe mode, and even a new story through MyRise, there are many new features that touch on every aspect of the game. However, some of these new features will not be able to hit the hiber completely set by the game’s predecessors.
Get the biggest new addition that’s out of the way. WWE 2K25 There are several new match types to play, of which the Chief is a new Bloodline Rules match. As we saw on WWE TV shows and Premium Live Events (PLES), matching the rules of bloodline tends to be a chaotic issue, as not only is the use of weapons completely legal, but there are often onslaught of alliances and opposing wrestlers coming to help or interfere with you throughout the match. WWE 2K25 The new match type allows you to accurately reproduce almost the same level of chaos. Matching Bloodline rules tends to be great when partying, as it’s relatively boring in single players, as all players have control over each of the wrestlers they’re interrupting.
Myrise has also seen some changes. Unlike last time, the new Myrise story, called Mutiny, can assume the role of both male and female wrestlers. This comes down to the fact that the story mode is no longer split between these two separate storylines. The story revolves around current and former wrestlers on the NXT roster, and decides to infiltrate Raw and Smackdown to ensure the organization becomes the dominant brand of WWE. The story includes many respected and promising wrestlers, from Tony Dunjelo to Kevin Owens to Bailey. Fighting the rebellion alongside two created wrestlers are legends like CM Punk and NXT alumni like Becky Lynch who disagrees with Mutiny’s methods.
Myrise attempts to bring diversity to storytelling using branching paths. Sometimes players have the option to define where the story goes from there. These options can even be defined, from something as simple as setting up a character’s past work experience to defining what kind of small stories are involved, from something more serious to something that revolves around a championship, to something that revolves around a comedy or lighthearted. There is also a major emphasis on Myrise’s intergender wrestling. WWE 2K25. This will bring about major changes to intergender tag team matches, as opponents aren’t forced to tag between characters just because they do that. For example, you can take control of Becky Lynch to continue beating Kevin Owens, tagged by Zelina Vega.

I can’t discuss the replay values for Myrise, but I can see that the lighting quality is much lower than what we last saw WWE 2K24The storyline of. The storyline of the rebellion feels like a big stake with the fate of the whole company hanging in balance, but the smaller storyline is WWE 2K24Myrise found it more interesting, mainly because they were more personal. When trying to save a company, it is rarely as interesting as exploring the relationship between the former owner of an indie wrestling company and the larger corporate machine, WWE.
Even Space and Mygm mode have been upgraded. Universe mode is more interesting here. Players can now set up full-on promotion segments that will allow them to better build rivals between members of the roster. For example, it’s not as detailed as customizations WWE 2K14 Back in the day, the additions are still welcome, bringing considerable depth to the entire space mode. MyGM mode is almost the same with the addition of online multiplayer, but this time it’s still the same.
It’s the new showcase mode that closes out the big mode where most fans of single-player find themselves. Focusing on pedigree heritage, the showcase mode offers a historical look at various Samoan wrestlers throughout WWE history. Mode’s matches range from Headshrinkers, who will take on Steiner Brothers at WrestleMania 9, to recent matchups like USOS, which will be appearing on a new day at Hell in Cell 2017. This mode also features several alternative history matchups, such as the 3-minute warning of the author of pain. Overall, the new showcase mode is not as intriguing as what you’ll see in showcase mode, but it’s pretty fun WWE 2K22 or WWE 2K23focusing on the careers of Rey Mysterio and John Cena, respectively. I feel the range of the latest showcase modes is too broad as it is worth playing multiple times just to unlock all of them.

The biggest drawbacks WWE 2K25 Performance on a PC. There were many options created by developer visual concepts and publisher 2K, indicating that there was little attention paid to the PC version of the game. The main thing these are the fact that you can’t get a frame rate above 60. The game is hard cap in that respect, and by default it lowers the frame rate to 30 fps for some matches that double “movie-like.” These parts range from suppression from the top rope to landing the finisher. These dips at frame rates do more to hinder the gameplay experience rather than add the film’s value to the match.
All in-game cutscenes are covered at 30 fps, which is a very disappointing. That being said, WWE 2K25 It tends to look really good while moving. It’s not actually a major visual upgrade to its predecessor, but the title sometimes looks a little better, with the wrestler’s face touching up. Sadly, these minor visual upgrades are hurt by the choppyness of the cutscene frame rate. This becomes particularly evident in the wrestler entrance and in the Mirasis cutscenes. This decision, coupled with the fact that there are not many options to tweak the visuals in the game’s settings, indicates that the PC version is low priority.
In many respects, WWE 2K25 It feels like a game where you take two steps forward and one step back. That new match type is excellent and is trying to become more ambitious with a focus on its new Myrise story and WWE’s Samoan history. These ambitions seem to have been too high, as the story of Myrise’s rebellion is not as fun or personal as the story from WWE 2K24and playing through showcase mode feels like an obligation to unleash everything, not a more interesting view of the historic match. Plus, when you experience performance issues with your PC version, you sometimes get games that tend to trip yourself up, every step you take towards the future.
