Why would a rockstar on Earth post about a small British film to an audience of 21 million followers? And who is this Danny Dyer guy? Don’t worry, we’re here to explain.
Who is Danny Dyer?
Danny John Dyer is best known as Danny Dyer and is an East London actor. And if you live in the UK, he doesn’t need to be introduced. As the Rockstar Post states, he is an “absolute legend.” If you don’t speak UK slang, see Urban Dictionary’s term definitions to help you understand Dyer’s reputation better.
“A person who embodies the pinnacle of all important social aspects. A person who is funny, reckless, original and sensitive with the right measures could be nominated by his peers to legend. A persona you aspire to.”
Dyer has been acting since 1993 and has built a reputation for playing rough, ready working class characters. This is partly due to his official persona. He is somewhat openly thought about social and government issues and is known for his “tough uncle” approach to life. For example, when he offered advice to Zoo Magazine readers in 2010, Dyer told a man who was trying to recover from his recent breakup that he should go on a “rampage with a boy (drinking session).”
Dyer is also loved by his many wild social media posts like this gem:
Roll on the night of the bonfire…. It is tied to a big big fuck from the rocket so that you can join the other Furby in the sky…

How is Danny Dyer connected to the Rockstar?
If you’re not sure who Danny Dyer is, but you’re a huge fan of Grand Theft Auto games, you’ve almost certainly heard him. Dyer plays Kent Paul in Love Fist, the manager of a Scottish rock band. He reevaluated the role of GTA: San Andreas, which Kent represented a new band, The Gurning Chimps and later produced for rapper Madd Dogg.
Dyer has a more important connection to the Rockstar and comes from an unusual location. In 2004, Dyer starred in Nick Love’s British film Football Factory, and was produced by Rockstar Games. Yes, in the olden days, rock stars helped create feature films.
Marching Powder, a new film to be released in the UK and Ireland this week, will reunite Danny Dyer with Nick Love. The project is not a sequel to the soccer factory, but it draws out many of the same ideas, including football holiganism (violence among fans), heavy drinking and drug use, and rough, rough, humor in Britain.
Despite X’s post, Rockstar has nothing to do with Marching Powder. The studio appears to simply defend the film because of its previous connections with Dyer and Love and its production at the soccer factory.
Is Kent Paul from Vice City back to GTA 6?
Simple answer: We don’t know. And this social media post certainly has nothing to do with GTA 6. But hey, we might theorize anyway. Can Kent Pole appear in Grand Theft Auto 6?
It is important to remember that GTA is split into two very different eras: 3D ERA (games released on PS2 and PSP) and HD ERA (GTA 4 and later). Both are considered as universes of their own. One storyline does not continue in the other universe. So, Los Santos in GTA 5 looks quite different from the comparable cities of San Andreas, which is why there is no direct reference to the characters in the PS2 era of GTA 4 and 5.

But that’s not to say there’s no overlap. CJ’s home caldesac, Globe Street, appeared in GTA 5, and many of the gangs first featured in the 3D universe exist in HD universes, including roses. Laszlo, the infamous ponytail scum bag, also has participated in many GTA games spanning two eras. And here’s the kicker: Kent Paul has his name on the Vinewood Walk of Fame.
Is there a chance that Kentpole can return to GTA 6? Certainly possible. However, X’s post about marching powder certainly doesn’t get close to confirmation.
