How to catch a Whopper in Monster Hunter Wild
In short, it’s a whopper inhale. Delicately manage tension in the line, pay attention to how the fish moves, control the fish as they jump, and avoid obstacles.
Whopper fishing starts fishing just like any other. I’ll choose you Tough joint bait Cast in front of the past and in front of them. Move the thumbstick on the left up and down and slowly start winding up the lure. Pause regularly and mix jerk under the thumbstick to attract attention.
When Whopper takes bait, press R2/RT as normal.

Now is the time when it becomes complicated (and annoying). The fish begin to swim back and forth. Do not get caught in motion, move your left thumb same The direction of swimming. The game calls this “control the drag.” We interact for a while, and sometimes we change direction. Then it stops and gives a little money. That’s your clue Move the left thumbstick up and down to start rewinding.
Stop rewinding immediately as soon as the fish start swimming left and right again. It returns to moving in the same direction as the fish is swimming.

If there is something in the rock or water and the fish approaches it, a warning will be displayed. Keep the fish away from obstacles. When this happens (and only when this happens), it’s okay to move your left thumb in the opposite direction when the fish is moving. As soon as the fish changes direction, they return to moving the same direction.

Depending on the fish (and its mood), it may jump. When doing this, Hit R2/RT to the right at the top of the fish jump. This will start swimming left or right when you pound it back into the water.
Stay tired and tangle them until they land.
Once that’s done, there’s one last fish to land as part of Kanya’s quest line.
