Apple announced today at WWDC that Vision Pro is retrieving spatialized widgets.
On essentially every Apple device, widgets are designed to provide useful, personalized information at a glance.
Apple says Vision Pro also gets spatial widgets. This allows you to place these various mini apps around your home that reappear every time you install a Vision Pro.
Apple says that Visionos 26 widgets are “customized and come in a variety of options for frame width, color and depth. Beautiful new widgets, including clocks, weather, music, photos, and more, all offer unique interactions and experiences.”
Essentially, you can decorate the space with spatial photos, unique face design clocks, calendars with events, and quick access to music playlists and songs.
In particular, according to Apple, developers can use WidgetKit to create their own widgets. There is no exact word when Visionos 26 releases, but it can be predicted later this year, the company says.
This story is broken. We are currently at WWDC and I’ll report back when I learn more about everything about Vision Pro.
