XR Indie Flip Axis Studios has announced a multiplayer VR skateboarding game that promises to bring real skate action to Quest 3 and Steam VR.
Called Virtual skating, The newly announced VR game is said to evolve skateboarding games by “introducing players to complete control of their feet directly with their hands.”
They also have the ability to control board and style tricks in “how that can’t be done with canned animation,” including physics-based systems, says the studio.
The information is still weak, but the teaser shows off the in-game recording feature, allowing you to capture your friend’s tricks when in multiplayer.
Additionally, it is created by industry veteran John West. Virtual SkatingEasy Day Studios and lead developers of lead developers for PC and console skate games Skater XL (2020).
There is no release date yet, but the studio says it will be coming “soon” for Quest 3 and SteamVR headsets.
