Updated March 14, 2025: According to the reliable leakage team, Bethesda will drop a remake of Forget in April.
Natethehate tweeted that the current plans are for the announcement and release of Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remake, which will take place in April with a minimal gap between the two.
VGC’s Andy Robinson engraved the claim in his own tweet.
Neither Bethesda nor parent company Microsoft has published any comments.
Original Story March 13, 2025: Bethesda will be releasing The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remake in the coming weeks and will be releasing it soon.
Having revealed exactly the date of the Nintendo Switch 2’s announcement, Natethehate tweeted that the remake of Forgetfulness will be revealed either this month or next month.
The release window is a bit vague. Natethehate probably said before June, but said the VGC could be announced soon in April.
January, mp1st Details of the Video Game Support Studio Virtuos remake were reported incorrectly and incorrectly released by a former employee of the Oblivion. Microsoft declined to comment when contacted by Passthecontroller.
According to MP1ST, Virtuos has remade Bethesda’s much-loved open-world role-playing game using Unreal Engine 5. The gameplay changes are also said to be detailed in detail, including stamina, sneak, blocking, archery, hit reactions and fine-tuning to head-up displays (HUDs).
As reported in MP1ST, the original system is “boring” and “irritating”, so the blocking has been changed with action games and Soulslikes in mind. The sneak icon is highlighted, and damage calculations are said to have been improved. Knockdowns resulting from stamina depletion have been reportedly difficult to trigger. And the HUD has been redesigned and easier to understand. Elsewhere, hit reactions have been added to make the response more clear, and archery reportedly modernised in both first person and third party perspectives.
Word Remaster of Forgetfulness appeared in 2023 When documents released as part of the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) regarding the acquisition of Activision Blizzard revealed many unannounced Bethesda games to be released in the coming years. This list was compiled in July 2020 prior to the purchase of Bethesda parent company Zenimax Media in March 2021.
Accounting Year 2022:
- Oblivion Remaster
- Indiana Jones Game
Fiscal year 2023
- DOOM Year Zero and DLC
- Project Kestrel
- Project Platinum
Fiscal year 2024
- Elder Scroll 6
- Project Kestrel: Expansion
- Licensed IP Games
- Fallout 3 Remaster
- Ghostwire: Tokyo sequel
- Disgraceful 3
- DOOM Year Zero DLC
Obviously, many of these games have been delayed or cancelled entirely. Doom Year Zero is currently Doom: The Dark Ages and is scheduled to be released in May. Indiana Jones and the large circle were not released until December 2024.
But that remaster of forgetting is what we are worried about now. And it’s worth noting that it was called a Remaster In Microsoft documentation. Probably the scope of the project changed, and Bethesda grew bigger with the remake. We learn that the company has finally revealed what became one of the worst secrets of all video games.
On the other hand, which platforms launch the Oblivion remake? Microsoft is currently all-in on multi-platform releases, and Nintendo Switch 2 is waiting on the wingOblivion can open gates as well as PC, Xbox and PlayStation players. If Switch 2 was released around June, Oblivion would probably create a console launch window.
