Bitcraft Online creates MMORPGs that allow players to build their own towns, and creates them for the future and their future survival. Create a player-driven economy in a procedural world. According to a blog post from Clockwork Labs, open-sourcing Bitcraft allows players to “satise their codebase, change code, share code, host their own servers, experiment with mechanics, or satisfy their curiosity about how MMORPGs choke friend under the hood.”

Bitcraft Early Access is scheduled to start June 20, 2025, After more than seven years of development from Clockwork Labs, the Bitcraft team said open sourcing will be implemented Immediately after early access begins.

Clockwork Labs says it is making the game open source to give back to the MMO genre and make it more accessible. “I think Bitcraft source code will provide both examples of how to build an MMO and examples of how to use SpaceTimedB to do that. It’s both a victory for the developer community and our platform. ”
