Respawn Entertainment hasn’t announced anything Titanfall 3 is in development, but it appears that the chances of it being announced are a little less likely as the studio has just cancelled its unreleased multiplayer first-person shooter.
The studio did not specifically name it as a new entry in the Titanfall franchise. Still, fans who hope that this mystery project will be linked to the next Titanfall game are hoping that the possibility is being taken away.
Respawn developers check for cancelled projects after a year in development
This latest information comes from Emilee Evans, the Respawn Executive Assistant/Production Coordinator who posted a status update on LinkedIn, and has a canned project she has been working on over the past year.
“The unreleased incubation project I had been serving in for the past year has been cancelled this week, so I’m joining a group of extremely talented and kind people in the gaming industry looking for a new role,” Evans said.
Again, there’s nothing to indicate that this is connected to Titanfall 3, but the studio is working on an unreleased multiplayer first-person shooter game, and fans will automatically connect it to Titanfall 3.
Evans’ LinkedIn post mentions the hiding team respawns being employed over the past few years. Now deactivated job list (via TheGamerPost) They say they were looking for someone with a “significant professional experience designing multiplayer FPS experiences.”
Titanfall 2 was released in 2016 on PS4, Xbox One and PC, and scored a high score when it was released among critics. Unfortunately, the publisher’s electronic arts ruined the release and sandwiched between the release of Battlefield 1 and Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. This puts Titanfall 2 at a major disadvantage, as it was unable to recover.
The game has achieved cult-like status over the years given its impressive campaign and mixing mech combat and fast-paced infantry activities in its fantastic multiplayer shooter. Respawn has launched Royale Apex Legends, a free battle set in the Titanfall universe. Since then, the studio has put the multiplayer workforce behind the game and established the single-player Star Wars Jedi franchise.
Do you ever watch Titanfall 3? I hope so considering it is one of my favorite FPS games. But when you look at the reality of the situation, it may happen anytime soon. Titanfall 2 is now available at a very low price, either on physical disks or on digital storefronts. I can’t recommend this game enough. Try it, you won’t be disappointed.
