“Ultron is a strategist who can provide consistent healing to his allies,” according to creative director Guangguang. He attacks with energy beams as his main attack, and is able to fly, tying the sky alongside Iron Man, Storms and Human Torch.
So the Team Up Ability System has been updated “with broader tunings” to add six new attacks, remove four, and the other has been tweaked. Naturally, Ultron and Iron Man have the ability to team up, allowing Ultron to fire unibeam lasers that can penetrate anything in its path.
Lead combat designer Zhiyong gives a detailed explanation of the new team-up. Venom and Jeff the Land Shark’s “Symbiote Shenanigans” connected to their allies for healing. Punisher and Black Widow’s “Operation: Microchip” gives widows piercing line shot mode. Luna Snow makes Hawkeye ice arrows that hit targets hard, far and hard, even through terrain covers. Rocket Raccoon and Peni Parker “Rocket Network” increases penis bionic spider nest and drop armor packs, powering up Rocket Battle regeneration beacons to summon Cyberweb, Spider Drono and Arachnomin. And after fan suggestions, Storm and Jeff receive a “Jeff Nad” ability similar to teaming up with a human torch, but instead of a tornado of fire, it’s water.
However, Luna and Jeff’s “Chilling Charisma,” Hawkeye and Black Widow’s “Allied Agent,” Spider-Man, Peni, and Venom’s “Symboite Bond,” and Rocket Raccoon and Punisher’s “Ammunition Reload” have been completely removed. But the latter still looks available to Winter Soldiers, so it makes me a bucky main and very happy. However, Iron Man is no longer part of the “Gamma Charge” team-up, leaving it to Hulk and Namor.
Several other things were mentioned on June 6th, such as an experimental mode called the Ultron’s Battle Matrix protocol. Here, players build their own lineup of heroes and crafts to enhance their traits in a “Streamlined Strategic, Number-based Solo Tactical” gameplay mode. The Selection Wheel also has a new hero-skilled avatar and two new personalization systems. It’s the mood and emojis that allow players to express themselves within the nameplate and game.
New Map: Hellfire Gala: Arakko, Krakoa’s sister island, has transformed into Ultron’s unvibrant machine headquarters. And of course, some character buffs, nerfs, and changes will be introduced.
