Three new horror games I can’t wait to get my sweaty palms on

Three new horror games I can’t wait to get my sweaty palms on

The summer showcase for the Horror Game Awards took place over the weekend, unveiling world premier trailers for 50 new horror titles.

With so many games featured in the showcase, it’s hard to play your favorites, but some trailers definitely stood out from the crowd. The Horror Game Awards Summer Showcase is a backroom-themed title that focuses on creating a general sense from impending, fast-paced games to pop you out of your skin, everyone (well, those who like horror games). Below are three of my personal favorite gaming trailers in the showcase:

1. Inhuman resources: Literary tricks

Inhumane resources: Literary machinery Players are watching as they take on the role of minimum wage workers at Smilnacorp. Smilnacorp is an absolutely unshy mega compilation that only future employees need to provide two items at the time of their adoption: signature and blood samples. One of them is different from the others…

Inhuman resources It appears to be happening in a kind of retro-futistic alternative reality. Smyrnacorp’s job statement lists “industry-leading technology” as one of the benefits of employment, but in detail it reveals that employees use flip phones, floppy disks and old-fashioned time cards. Other perks include “dental benefits” and “passionate colleagues,” but Smilnacop’s dental plans seem best avoided (unless you enjoy the taste of blood in your mouth).

In this game, you will use your own adventure mechanic in the Goosebumps style to allow players to decide how to navigate the work of new corporate overloads. In one example, the player is forced to choose a way to interact with an administrator who cannot hear because he is wearing headphones. Option 1 is to leave him alone, but with option 2, the player can be involved in all introverted nightmares and pull that headphones right next to the admin’s head. In the trailer, the players choose to leave him alone, but their choices create eerie whispers that echo through the hallways of Smilnacop. Regarding the so-called “dental profits” of the company, another scene in the trailer depicts a player trying to remove a colleague’s teeth.

There are still plenty of unsettling visuals in this text-based adventure, but it rarely makes you scream. But for players who enjoy the dystopian horror based on the story – or Really I hate going to a dentist. InhumanResources offers a deeply unsettling look about the length of time people willing to go in the name of stable employment.

Inhumane resources: Literary machinery Available for PC, Android and iOS.

The fans in the back room (and typical liminal spaces) are Backroom level xA survival horror game focused on a first-person story in which Developer Firenut Games immerses players in “an infinite maze of desolate, marginal space.”

Backroom level x Not for players who believe that the concept of backroom is even more frightening None There are monsters like SCP. The game includes “giant enemies”, but features 13 levels of winding-like liminal space based on the game’s trailer. Backroom level x It appears to be a real attempt to balance monster-based jump scares with an already well-creepy environment without adding any spooky-looking hatred.

The game appears to be a real attempt to faithfully recreate the back room without going overboard. Although monsters are included, these horrifying entities coincide with the mysterious universe horrors that many backroom fans dreamed of when they first began gaining popularity on social media. Yes, players can be chased, but not pursued by monsters based on Skividi toilets. Game designers seem to prefer to cultivate an uneasy atmosphere that makes Jump Scare even more frightening, rather than overusing Jump Scare, rather than burning out players.

Backroom level x We also pay tribute to some of the earliest and most popular backroom content creators. One scene in the trailer depicts two characters investigating a strange grid-like floor filled with square holes leading to God Knows. This room is roughly the same as the one featured in the “Pluthfalls” video by VFX artist and backroom content creator Kane Pixels. This video shows some backroom employees trying to sail through the room without falling through the hole in the floor.

Backroom level x Although it is currently available on PC, Firenut Games says the game will be released on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch and Xbox Series X in the near future.

Fans like underwater horror games Subnautica and I’m still awakening deeply You probably feel like you’re at home Dark massa submarine thriller that occurs mainly in an old, dilapidated, completely submerged mansion. Players step into Alice’s shoes (er, flippers), a certified diver known for their underwater exploration skills. Working with her brother Reid, Alice is tasked with exploring the wreckage of a previously unreachable ship that was loosened after the recent earthquake.

However, the contents of the ship are far less interesting than what is beneath it. It’s a strange centuries-old mansion that has first slipped underneath the surface and remains untouched. It is not clear how this manion came to rest at the bottom of the ocean. Because the buildings are clearly older, global warming is likely not the culprit. But what’s clear is that Alice and Reid are definitely not alone. One scene in the trailer shows Alice stumbling over a zombie-like creature.

Dark mass The Steam page says it’s “coming soon,” but developer Path Games has confirmed it will be released on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, but has confirmed the Xbox Series X, which is based on the trailer. Dark mass Land on the sweet spot in the horror game and use both jump scare and anxiety to keep players on their toes and ends of their seats.
