After a quiet year under the waves, Thinking City 2 has resurfaced with the launch of a new trailer and the official Kickstarter campaign.
Just a year after the announcement, the new trailer for Sinking City 2 will be a mix of pre-Alpha gameplay and Lovecraftian Horror, first focused, with developer Frogwares. The team also reveals the developer’s Deep Dive in greater detail as they plan to combat, explore and explore options.
Alongside these trailers, Frogwares launched Kickstarter today, helping to win the game at the finish line. In a statement, CEO Wael Amr explained that Kickstarter funds are needed for the ongoing war in Ukraine.
Three years after this terrible war hanging in our everyday lives, we learned to adapt, but it was never easy. In 2023, when we released Sherlock Holmes and woke up with the help of Kickstarter and our beloved fans, we created a safety net that saved us multiple times. From the power outages and the need for team members to move in a short period of time to the need to suspend development for several days, this safety net was extremely important. Given that Sinking City 2 is a much more complicated and tough game, we decided to take the same route as before.
Frogwares has faced many challenges over the years in working on both the original The Sinking City and its sequel. In addition to the immense challenge of developing wartime games, Frogwares was trapped in the first publishing rights struggle in the sinking city of NaCon, the first PC publisher, as games were pulled back from several platforms in 2020.
Sinking City 2’s Kickstarter currently has a target of USD 105,000.
