I spend too much time on Stardew Valley, building my own small farm. And while caring for the farm is my own full-time job, I am always trying to find time to make my favorite foods for all the characters. The Stardew Valley recipe is very simple, but the final pixelated results always seem to tantalize my appetite. While whipping it in the game, I definitely imagined what each dish would look like, I never really thought about making recipes in real life until I came across the Stardew Valley Cookbook.
The game’s official cookbook was written in collaboration with the game’s creators’ concerns (Eric Barone). As a Stardew Valley and cooking lover, I have placed this video game cookbook at the top of my 2025 gift wish list.
Official Stardew Valley Cookbook – Currently on sale
The official Stardew Valley Cookbook returned in May 2024, so it was almost a year when I didn’t know it existed. However, thanks to that time, it is currently the lowest price ever on Amazon. For just under $20, it is one of the cheapest gifts you can get for Stardew fans (other than the actual game).
The cookbook itself contains 50 recipes based on actual in-game meals. Like the game, they are ordered every season, so you can create and create each recipe when the ingredients are most likely to be the freshest. It contains many original illustrations as well as recipes written in the voices of different characters in the game. You can see a quick preview of what you’ll expect from the slideshow below.

The Stardew Valley Cookbook is one of my favorites. In fact, there are quite a few other video game dishes that you can buy right now. There are options from Elder Scrolls, Witcher, Fallout, and even Minecraft. You can reserve cookbooks created for PAC-Man (certainly, why not) and Borderlands.
