With the perfect timing of launching the Final Fantasy Set for The Magic: The Gathering, TCG Player’s Mayhem Sale offers Pokémon TCG (including Pokémon TCG) with every purchase that offers store credits.
Sales will run for just one day on May 16th from 9am to 11pm. That additional store credit allows you to unlock money from future purchases. If you earn enough, you can even buy free cards from this gorgeous set.
Still, while the above is incredibly clean, some of the singles in the Final Fantasy MTG set are extremely expensive, especially as some borderless or surge foil cards are spiked towards $600 (like the TCG).
So, if the cost of buying these expensive options is putting you off, grab one of my incredibly affordable FF MTG starter kits for $20, then try grabbing one of my handpicked top 10 MTG cards from the Final Fantasy Set and earn additional credits to complete the collection by the time the set launches on June 13th.
Travel Chocobo
Even if you can’t grab one of the very rare limited edition gold versions of the Travel Chocobo, even a standard creature is worth buying. It is due to the incredible ability to watch and play with land and bird spells from the top of your library.
Living loneliness
Not only does it say “it’s vivi,” but this version of Magic: Iconic Magician Gathering brings a lot of fun confusion to the game, allowing you to cast spells and deal with damage quickly.
Summoned: Shiva
Both creatures and sagas. This is one of the interesting elements of the set. This has a stun counter function and allows you to draw more cards from Chapter III, making it an essential part of a blue deck.
Tidus, Yuna’s Guardian
Tidus may not come with Ha Ha, but this commander card version of the protagonist of Final Fantasy X is another great addition to Magic. Thanks to his convenient counter-based features.
Cloud, former Solider
This is definitely the best cloud card on the set, as cloud attacks offer a lot of draw power at any time. It’s perfect for Commander’s decks as extra generated treasure tokens are available to make equipping other creatures much easier.
Jumbo Sactuar
Get ready to run a fun combo with this thorny 1/7 customer. Troll your Jumbo Cactus opponents just like Final Fantasy VIII.
Cecil, the Dark Knight
An interesting legendary human knight can turn it into Cecil when he meets the total life requirement to fire it and becomes a redeemed paladin.
Brush, coat mage
In addition to the incredible artwork in the borderless version of 0322, Kefka has the interesting ability to dismantle the opponent’s hands while building it yourself with additional draws.
Sazh’s Chocobo
Adorable and reliable cards that offer a very impressive +1/+1 counter when land you manage to enter. It may not be the best card in a set, but the cost of one mana is almost a must.
y’shtola, night blessing
A powerful commander card, Y’shtola has the flexibility to fit into a variety of decks that make this cat warlock a must-see.
What is tcgplayer?
TCGPlayer is probably the cleverest place to spend your money if you know the cards you are chasing. Instead of rolling the dice with a booster pack, go buy the single you want, or check out other regional sets like Pokémon TCG’s Japan Glory Team Rocket Set.
That’s where I go too Check the actual card value Instead of relying on prices that Amazon randomly allocates. There are great deals. You need to do a little search. It’s TCG eBay, but it’s clean.
