Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered has been in the hands of players for almost a week, and they already have a long list of changes they want to see.
Bethesda Game Studios and Virtuos cast a remaster of the rumored oblivion in the shadows last Tuesday, so fans spent dozens of hours revisiting Cyrodiil and seeing how it compares to the 2006 original. The vibrant hills and the Devil’s Forget Gate are mostly the same, but with fresh paint coats, but with some key gameplay elements tweaked, making the overall experience even more appealing to newcomers. So, with features like Sprint Mechanic added, fans have one question in their mind. What else will be added?
Bethesda has taken over the official discrepancy to hear players cry about the Oblivion remastered update and see what the community wants to see. It is unclear how many suggestions will be bugs in the “remaster of the Elder Scrolls” if there is, but it is clear that Bethesda is at least considering feedback. Still, there are some suggestions that have climbed to the top of the list of requests.
A troublesome sprint
Oblivion Remastered’s most notable new features allow players to sprint and trek through Oblivion planes faster than ever…and a bit nasty. It’s hard to deny that it’s extremely unstable as the Sprints are currently present in the Remaster of Forget, as the player’s characters move forward and create a crazy dash towards the adventure ahead.
The Elder Scrolls series is known for Jank, but this is one of the animations that many believe can use some minor adjustments. Some hope that Spring animations will be changed to look more natural, but others at the very least want a setting that allows players to use natural sprints and stick to the current sprint if they choose.
Other customization options
Social media is full of remastered custom character designs of ridiculous oblivion, but many think that character creation system is better. One popular request includes an additional hair option as players try to personalize a selected character. The other concerns requests for more body customization tools, such as height and weight. These additions give fans more freedom to express themselves, but many want the ability to change their appearance later in the game.
Difficulty balance
Difficulty is a particularly hot topic for Oblivion’s remastered players, and has been removed from the week’s launch. Specifically, hundreds of fans are looking for tweaks to the challenges offered in Adept and Expert mode. The former is considered too easy for many, but the latter is too stiff. Difficulty slider or additional difficulty options may be something you’d like to require Oblivion Remaster, and not only will it provide players with choices to fine-tune their challenge levels, but it will even replicate the difficulty of the original experience.
“The slider needs to be difficult!” said one disagreeing user. “Adept is too easy and unconscious, but the experts are way too rough. Honestly, you can’t play before the patch arrives.”
mod support
Bethesda has spent the past decade on a wealth of clarity in the promod stance, but many were shocked to see that the remastered Oblivion doesn’t support mods at the time of release. There was no reason why such important features were removed this time.
Unofficial mod support is already found for PC players who know where to look, but console elder scrolling fans no longer have the freedom to customize every aspect of the game at will. Official mod support means not only a streamlined mod experience on your PC, but also potentially a console.
Spelling organization
As players continually remastered and poured into oblivion, they discovered that menu experiences were over-encrypted by a list of insurmountable spells. Regardless of their utility, you will find it difficult to find a player who will use all the last magical abilities you can find in Cyrodiil.
These are long lists of spells players are sieving to find the spell they want, creating options to organize and hide one of the more popular suggestions.
“There should be a way to remove a spell from the spellbook,” added another Discord user. “When you start creating custom spells and level up, your spell list becomes unmanageable.
Map Clearing/Soul Gem
Exploration is one of the key features of the Elder Scrolls game, so players are hoping that Bethesda will eventually release an update that will make reading that map a little easier. Players are looking for a UI update that will clarify whether the location has been cleared so that they don’t waste time going to a dungeon they forgot to clean 30 hours ago.
Another notable issue featured in the proposal thread includes the gem of the soul. It’s a bit difficult to create a soul gem type without going through a few steps, like on a map. Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim has allowed players to make the content of soul gems just by reading its name, so we hope that a similar addition will be remastered to Oblivion.
Performance fixes
This is easy. While most players have found that the remastered experience of Forgetting is relatively smooth, all platforms have quite a bit of complaints about issues, bugs, and visual hiccups.
When did these problems get worse? Recent Backend Updates Triggered a wave of graphics glitch that removes access to some settings while Framerate is framed on PC during tanking. Bethesda said he is working on fixes, so don’t be surprised that future updates will also bring tweaks to smooth out the experience.
Fans of Elder Scrolls are drooling in thought of an update to Oblivion’s remastering, but on PC at least, there’s no need to resort to Bethesda to see some of the most desirable changes implemented. Of course, it already exists Hundreds of mods available For those who want to adjust this beloved refresh to their taste. Some highly requested items already have fan-made mods available, including upright sprint animations and other customization options.
