Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered has become something of a lightning bolt of ongoing debate over Nintendo pricing for Switch 2 and its games. Some fans say the company behind Mario can learn one or two about video game prices from Bethesda.
Developed by Remake Specialist Virtuos using Unreal Engine 5, Oblivion Remastered has a long list of visual and functional improvements. As expected, it runs at 4K resolution and 60 frames, but the other changes make more sense. Everything has been improved, from leveling system to character creation and combat animations to in-game menus. Meanwhile, there are many new dialogues, a good third-person view, and new LIP Sync technology. Changes are working well with the fans, Some people believe that remastered forgetting will be described more accurately as a remake.. But Bethesda, I explained why it went down the remaster route.
The Base Oblivion game costs $50 and includes all the DLCs originally released. It’s an impressive and highly valued package, and for many, it makes Nintendo’s Switch 2 game pricing even worse.
As many do, Oblivion, remastered to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild – Nintendo Switch 2 edition, will cost $70 or The Legend of Zelda: The Kingdom’s Tears – Nintendo Switch 2 tear cost $80. There is a $10 upgrade pass for existing OG Switch versions for owners, and Nintendo Switch Online subscribers can upgrade for free. But the Nintendo standalone price here caused a backlash online, especially considering the kingdom’s tears as well as the jump to $80 for many other Switch 2 games.
But it gets worse for Zelda. Passthecontroller has confirmed that Breath of the Wild’s Nintendo Switch 2 Edition does not come with the extension path. This means that if you don’t already own it, you will need to pay another $20 to play DLC on Switch 2.
The Nintendo Switch 2 Edition Breath of the Wild comes with improved visual and performance, achievements, and support for the new “Zelda Notes” service in the Nintendo Switch Online app. If you already own Breath of the Wild on your switch, you will not automatically get those features. You will need to upgrade to the Switch 2 edition to gain access.
If you don’t own the game, you can buy the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition of Breath of the Wild for $70. That’s $10 more than the game was originally retailed (basically the price of the original game and pack). However, it doesn’t include the DLC expansion pack, so if you want to access it, it’s an additional $20. This brings you to a total of $90 for the complete bracelet of the Wild Nintendo Switch 2 experience.
The latest version of the game released in 2017 on the Wii U, with a whopping $90 I feel the painespecially in light of Mario Kart World’s retail business. Unprecedented $80,and The Nintendo Switch 2 itself costs $450.
And here’s the remastered Oblivion, but some DLCs are thrown in for $50 and say it’s better to call it a remake. You can see why Nintendo is getting comparisons and getting poor.
Oblivion, a full-fledged, unrealistic engine 5 remake is $50 and is also the game pass Ultimate
The Zelda Breath of the Wild Switch 2 edition is $70 and comes with some enhancements…

“Nintendo would look at them and say, ‘They could have made an extra $30,” joked Redditor Cultural_Writing2999. “It’s difficult for them to learn anything and so much about every money sound they’re printed,” Geldnicic added.
This response overturns the idea that Nintendo is charging your Switch 2 for something that is charging. Dr. Serkan Toto, CEO of Kantan Games, told Passthecontroller:
There is a comprehensive guide to everything that has been remastered for forgetting, including vast interactive maps, complete walkthroughs of the main quest line, all guild quests, how to build the perfect character, what to do first, all PC cheat codes and more.
