Apple Watch Series 10 starting at $299
The Apple Watch Series 10 is the latest generation mainstream model (Watch Series 11 is not expected until September this year). Improvements to the Apple Watch Series 9 include a larger OLED Retina display, a new S10 processor (not faster, but thinner, allowing the watch itself to have a slimmer profile), a slightly larger base model size (42mm vs. 41mm), and obviously trivial features like a water depth gauge. If you already own an Apple Watch Series 9, you probably don’t have enough reason to upgrade here. But if this is your first time buying an Apple Watch, the Series 10 is definitely the best Apple Watch for most people.
Compared to the Apple Watch SE, the Apple Watch Series 10 boasts a larger size (42mm vs. 40mm), a larger display, a 30% powerful processor, double storage, more advanced fitness tracking and body monitoring sensors, double tap gesture support, and faster charging. The Apple Watch SE is currently reasonably affordable at $169 on Amazon, but I think the upgrade is worth it for most people.
Can I use my Apple Watch on my Android phone?
It is technically possible, but I don’t recommend using an Apple Watch on an Android phone. Apple has made it necessary for many of the features of the Apple Watch to have a smartphone with an iOS operating system. There are several workarounds to implement some features, but for the average person the hassle isn’t worth it. If you are absolutely planning on getting your Apple Watch, getting your iPhone first is your best option.
