For Golden Idols

Image:Grey Game/Playstock Colors
Are you ready to call the color grey game? For Golden Idols One of the greatest detective games ever? Often compared to OBRA Din’s Returnand not only its historical environment, this incredibly complicated point-and-click mystery centers around a golden idol of the name, the subject of power, plot and magic, that unleashed sinister plots over 40 years as 12 apparent murders of the 18th century.
The awfully hilarious and grotesque illustrations lay out extremely complex crime scenes during the “exploration” stage of the game, which collects information and clues. In the “thinking” stage, you fill out the details of the crimes and participants in the virtual notebook, but you probably need to use your own real notebook to lie on the complex logic puzzles within the case and the sophisticated echoes between them. A classic puzzle with a rich and rewarding atmosphere. – OO

There’s a reason City: Skyline In many cases, literal urban planners hold it as the pinnacle of the genre. You don’t fall into the trap of most urban architects treating all your resources and systems as just data points on your list. A mysteriously beautiful, exquisitely paced puzzle adventure from some heart behind Limbo and internal, cocoon Share the silent delivery and pale aesthetics of these games. But it is more abstract, contemplative and perhaps even more involved. It is a game of adjacent pocket universes, inhabited by player characters, small rounded beetles and other baguguete techno organic lifeforms. in front Alan Wake 2Remedy Entertainment Renaissance began in 2019, and this incredibly confident, technically proficient action adventure began based on a bizarre, modernist nightmare. Part spice thriller, some cubist horror, control It’s a game about what happens when the architecture opposes you. As Jesse Faden, an agent for the Federal Command, you explore the confused, larger, older home, the FBC’s paranormal headquarters, the FBC’s paranormal headquarters, which is being attacked by corrupt forces.
This is all pretty insane, and Remedy delivers it with the usual film eyes, technical polish and storytelling prowess. (The game loads a reference that connects the universe to the universe of Alan Wake Games if you want to participate in some dots.) In combat, in combat, control It’s a pretty fun third-person shooter game, but what’s really fun is the non-linear exploration of impossible spaces in the oldest home. – OO

Imagine Inheritance It was unfolded between 867 and 1453 in European castle thrones, banquet halls and torch light back corridors. The monarch rises and falls, the territory of small time becomes a genuine kingdom, and the unmarried children revenge after being avoided decades later. Crusades 3 If the Roy family story chooses characters, sees them until their deaths, and assumes control of orphan heirs, then at that point we can completely change the dynasty through petty gossip and unruly murder attempts.
In Paradox Interactive’s broad and epic strategy game, no one has made me cockle as much as Glee in a suite of epic strategy games with complex systems that give way to thrilling urgent storytelling Crusades 3. In one playthrough, I married my eldest son to the daughter of the powerful neighbor, King. Diablo titles “saved” by game-changing patches are almost part of the expected story of the dark, desperate action RPG of the Blizzard series. Diablo 4 It wasn’t broken or interesting Diablo 3 The rescue work carried out at launch by Loot Reborn, the gorgeous recent fourth season, is even more impressive. If you’re trying out the game at launch and feel overwhelmed, it’s now worth the second look. Loot’s reborn essentially gave the game more generous and rewarding, with better, easier to use booty dropping more frequently, and boosting your character in a way that makes it easier to feel and understand. If you’re new to Fallout Universe, it’s probably featured on Prime Video’s hit TV show, and if you’re looking to try out the game, Game Pass has it. The entire series can be played through Microsoft’s subscription service. But there’s a tricky choice first: where should I start?
Continuity isn’t much to worry about. Most games start from scratch to provide a new perspective on the setting. Fallout tactics and 76 It is a derivative of genre bending. Fallout 4 It’s the latest in single-player RPGs, but few people claim it’s the best. The first two PC games developed by Interplay and Black Isle offer a dark, dark comic vision that doesn’t translate at all to the sequels created by Bethesda, but it’s rather old and clunky to play by modern standards.
The answer must be Radioactive Fallout: New Vegasa Fallout 3 A spinoff created by Obsidian Entertainment rather than Bethesda – a studio that can trace its lineage back to the Black Island era, so it’s no surprise that it’s a prank that draws closer to the outlaw’s tone. It’s a rough game, but it’s a very appealing game, with personality and great writing. Halo: Master Chief Collection

The Xbox brand may never have left without the Halo series, the first person shooter who helped popularize local, competitive multiplayer on consoles before taking a party online after the launch of Xbox Live. The Master Chief Collection package includes multiple Halo games, all of which have been updated to make them fun for modern audiences.
But what really striking about the collection is How many ways Sometimes I play. You can run your own campaign. If you want to play with friends but don’t want to compete, there is a co-op and lets you share the game’s story with your partner, either online or through split screen play. If you want to compete, do it locally against up to three other players on the same TV or take things online to challenge the wider community.
These are some of the best first person shooters ever released and are worth revisiting and having fun no matter how you decide to play. It was a great journey to share these games with my kids at a local co-op. This package contains so many games, each filled with different modes and options. Once it’s a hard drive, it’s hard to imagine boring your collection or uninstalling it.
This is part of the history of the game, and I continue to feel relevant and very alive. – Ben Kukra

Rhythm games can be a tough sell for players who prefer to shoot, avoid, punch and jump in their own time. But that’s not the case Hi-fi RushAction game from , Ghost Wire: Tokyo Developer Tango Gameworks. It provides visual clues to help players who challenge rhythmically, but what’s important is that Need it Its main character Chai attacks following the game’s metronome. Indiana Jones and the Great

Image: MachineGames/Bethesda Softworks
Much about this triumphant adventure starring everyone’s favorite action archeologist is surprising, but not all. Not surprising: MachineGames, a Swedish studio known for its Wolfenstein series, is Riddick’s Chronicle: Escape from the Butcher and darknessIt should be excellent with Nazi punch action and solid and entertaining license fees. In a way, this is exactly what MachineGames has been training for.
Still, teeth It surprises how well the Indy game works in the first person. It’s amazing how uncompromising the vision of a game is (in light of the general fate of a licensed game). Most importantly, the game itself is constant surprises. It’s not the linear action fest you’d expect, but instead filled with great puzzles, stealth, immersive influences, and moments of quiet, contemplative walking simulator. Without a doubt, Indiana Jones’ experience is a better experience than the last film. – OO

My favorite polygon game of 2021, Something that was pushed out A wonderful, creepy and harsh creation that will continuously regenerate to your expectations. It starts out as a Loge Light card game and is played inside a shack where you can’t escape: This horror-inspired escape room setting replaces other genres, graphical styles, and play modes you definitely don’t expect. There are even layers of Something that was pushed out This takes place outside of the game with Arg-style puzzles and all the conversations that delve deeper into the game’s mystical lore. Developer Daniel Mullins is simply continuing to strip the layers, and each of the obvious things are anxious joy.
If you can avoid it Something that was pushed out I recommend leaving spoilers there for the past three years and not reading the game in depth. Go directly to your Game Pass library and download it. It’s an unforgettable and unique experience. – OO

Image: Please don’t nod
just An amazingly cold rock climbing adventure from Not Nod, a French studio created Life is strange. Unlike its dramatic, dialogue-rich series, just It’s a game of exploration that is almost wordless, but that doesn’t mean there’s no story. The unknown young hero expands a huge rock tower in the middle of a dry desert. People lived there when the sea was furious down, but now they are dispersed. Accompanied by cute little water mass creatures, our climbers uncover the secrets of this civilization, bringing the tower to life as they gradually rise.
To bring in its gorgeous, desolate art and relaxed atmosphere, just It is absorbed as a pure traversal game with a simple yet satisfying tactile climbing system. The pad trigger represents a hand grip, so you plot the course and squeeze out a soothing seesaw rhythm when you’re constantly up. A game to clear your head. –OW

Red Umi: The Goddess’ Way

Image: Capcom
Truly originals from the kind of large publishers that have recently disappeared, Kunitsu-Gami We see Capcom take a break from Street Fighter, Monster Hunter and Resident Evil. In this case, it is a combination of ritual Shinto dance, tower defense tactics, terrifying traditional folklore, and simple hack and slash action.
And what a fascinating combination. The game watches you guide the swordsman as you protect the priest dancing to cleanse the cursed hillside. You rescue and recruit villagers, turn them into military units, then turn them into waves of highly painted monster battles. Kunitsu-Gami Sacrificial scale for concentration. This is a game that creates virtues from harsh constraints, creating tension and satisfying gameplay loops from small stages of claustrophobia, creepy day and night cycles, and simple strategic options. One of the great gems of 2024. —OW

The Lonely Mountain: Snow Rider

Image: Megagon Industries
One of the gems that helped define Game Pass services in the first few years was 2019 Lonely Mountain: DownhillPerfect little time attack game about riding a mountain bike on the slopes of the forest. This is a modest but deep game that makes a great addition to your subscription catalog. It has a cold atmosphere and is easy to pick up, but a steep skill curve has the power to take over your life completely. I think it was probably my most played game pass game in 2019 and 2020.
Five years later, a sequel will be released that applies a formula that is almost similar to skis. once again, Snow Rider Provides brilliant, tactile control. Rasping skis across the powder are just as satisfying as speeding down a switchback, but there are some tricky new control dynamics to grab your head. Again, it’s all about living with crashes and improving the technique through instant reboots. Again, the developers of Megagon Industries are one of the few who realize that extreme sports can enjoy peace and tranquility in beautiful natural environments, just as much as the excitement of the pulse. Amazing arcade palate cleanser. – OO

Square Enix’s HD-2D engine updates the classic pixelated look and cute character design of the 16-bit role-playing game to Gojon, which is used in new retro titles such as: Triangle strategy And for a remake like that Live live And in the future Dragon Quest 3. But many things are Octopath Traveler 2a sequel to 2023 retro RPG.
both Octopath Travelers The game is in the game pass, but the second game is slightly better, so I recommend starting there. It shares its structure with the 2018 original, but it brings together eight different protagonists to explore individual stories that are loosely linked – Octopath Traveler 2 It’s a completely independent story, so you don’t need to know anything. This is a more charming and closely organized story suite in a richer world than the first game, hiding surprisingly dark themes and moments within a classic medieval fantasy setting.
What both games have in common is the absolute Peach of a turn-based combat system based on “broken” enemies, targeting elemental weaknesses, then using boost points to maximize damage to broken enemies. It has a very satisfying rhythm to it, and it has a neat effect on party composition, equipment choice, etc. It’s a streamlined, beautifully balanced RPG design that can take place alongside the greats of the 90s. – OO

Pentiment It’s the most instantly impressive and recognizable game on this list. Inspired by the art of classic manuscripts, Pentiment Suck you into a beautifully designed version of 16th century Europe.
You perform as Andreas, a young artist looking to make his fortune in a ever-changing world. And as you go to the job of exploring the small village and the grounds surrounding it and drawing epic pictures with custom manuscripts, you will meet new people and flesh out the character and background of Andreas.

in Kill the spireI play as one of three unique characters and fight through randomly generated maps filled with encounters like battles, treasure chests and RPGs. Combat is similar to combat in turn-based RPGs, but instead of selecting attacks or spells from the menu, you draw cards from each character’s specific card pool. These cards allow you to attack, defend, cast spells, or use special abilities. Each character has their own set of cards, which fundamentally differ in their playing style.
I also learned to defy my expectations for the type of deck I should build. The key to deck building games is to build a theme deck where each card complements the other cards. In a card game like Magic: GatheringThis is easy enough, as you can plan all before the match. Kill the spire. You are given a random set of cards to build your deck from the end of each encounter, so you cannot run with your specific deck building goals in mind. After the fight, based on the cards I have available, I should quickly decide on a long-term deck design. Tricks of Kill the spire Thinking more creatively and proactively than a typical card game requires. “Jeff Ramos.”

Stardew Valley Quaint, but in the best possible way.
He inherits the farm from his grandfather and begins the game, then moves to sleepy towns and takes over the acre reduction. For the next 10, 20, 50, 100+ hours, they work to transform their farm into a modern utopia.
This is the most relaxing game on the Game Pass. All you do is to take care of the plant seeds, animals, mine some rocks and become friends with the villagers. There is plenty of drama in an army of slimes trying to stop the joja mart and mining like Walmart, but at the end of the day he dies on a farmhouse and prepares to plant more strawberries the next morning. –rg

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder Revenge

Takahashi Keita is one of the great video game surrealists, and a sequel to the 2004 cult hit. Katamari Damsea One of his greatest accomplishments – despite the fact that he really didn’t want to make it. Or maybe because He didn’t. Katamari Damsea Because it’s a completely original, strange and entertaining game about rolling a huge ball of junk, your impressive dad, all the universe kings can use them to replace stars in the sky. When publisher Namco Bandai asked Takahashi to meet fan demand and turn around the most famous sequel within a year, he reluctantly agreed, but of course he was a bit destructive about it.
in I love KatamariYour sisyphean task is to roll up a large ball of random things so that you don’t remake the sky, but because the crowd of fans wants you. The entire game is Takahashi’s sly, but not a tolerant comment on its own futileness. But unfortunately for his point, and fortunately for us, it is absolutely fantastic. If anything, it’s even more roughly fun than the original. And the music is rad. I love this game and this 2023 remaster has everything you need to enjoy it today. – OO
