Despite the rising prices of the game, most gamers are still keen to release Switch 2, and showing costs is not a major barrier. (108 characters)
Perhaps the biggest disappointment when Nintendo’s Switch 2 was revealed was the confirmation that some games on the console were priced higher than what we saw in the PS5 and Xbox Series X | s titles.
That’s not good news, but it’s what it is. Thankfully, other than Nintendo, third-party game makers have decided not to follow Nintendo’s instructions.
Racing games exclusively for one Switch 2 at launch are very low prices
Racing Game Fast Fusion is one of two exclusive titles of five Nintendo Switches available at launch. Mario Kart World will be available for a history-making price of $80, while Fast Fusion costs gamers $14.99 for a $14.99 game. This makes it one of the most affordable Switch 2 games at launch, and perhaps it’s getting the race itch you don’t want to fire that much for Mario Kart World.
It is currently under development by German studio Shin’en Multimedia GmbH and is also an arcade racer, just like Mario Kart. Some of the key features of the game include:
Extreme speed
The fastest racing game you’ve ever experienced! Non-stop adrenergic pumping effect at 60 fps at up to 4K HDR.
Anti-gravity jump
The high-speed fusion vehicle is equipped with anti-gravity hyperjump technology. By cutting the corners, jumping and boosting, you can move forward to the person you are consulting.
Vehicle fusion
Merge your favorite vehicles to create hundreds of new racing machines.
Hypertrack
Zoom in redwood forests, alpine peaks, futuristic cities and even breathtaking scenery.
Motion control, HD rumble
Play with smooth motion controls, enjoy immersive HD rumbles and customize the buttons.
Fast Fusion also features split screen actions for up to four players, and can also be used with console game sharing technology.
US gamers need to spit $80 at Mario Kart World, but it’s even more expensive for their European neighbors. The game will be available for a whopping 90 euros or around $102 at the exchange rate today. Of course, Fast Fusion is a smaller arcade racer than in the world of Mario Kart, but is it about four times more? I leave it to the gamer and decide.
For now, Fast Fusion is limited to Switch 2, but in the future, it will not be possible to stop developers from releasing on other platforms.
For gamers who are scared of a future where $80 gaming becomes the norm, this may indicate Nintendo and the industry, considering that most gamers are still dead by getting the Switch 2 at launch.
