Nintendo has announced the update date for pre-orders for the US Nintendo Switch 2. Originally scheduled for April 9th, but due to tariff news, US pre-orders will begin on April 24th.
The company announced on Friday that the console prices will remain the same as originally announced – the versions that include the $449.99 versions Mario Kart World. Pricing for both physical and digital versions Mario Kart World ($79.99) and Donkey Kong Bananza ($69.99) is also unchanged.
However, according to a Nintendo statement, “Nintendo Switch 2 Accessories will experience price adjustments from those announced on April 2 due to changes in market conditions. Other adjustments to Nintendo products’ prices are possible depending on future market conditions.”
On the Nintendo website, the company lists new proposed retail prices for the Switch 2 and many of its accessories.
Friday’s update will raise the price of Switch 2 accessories slightly. For example, the Joy-Con 2 controller was priced at $89.99, a charging grip of $34.99, a strap of $12.99, a wheel of $19.99, a camera of $49.99 and a dock of $109.99. In short, accessories prices have risen between $5-10 each.
