ILM and Lucasfilm have announced that they will develop another immersive version Star Wars Games called Star Wars: Beyond Victory – Composite Reality Play Set.
Please come only to Meta Quest 3 and 3S Star Wars: Beyond Victory – Composite Reality Play Set It will be held in the same time slot as the first part of Han Solo. Solo: Star Wars Story (2018).
The information is still weak on the ground, but there may be some good slices of pod races that I look forward to. ILM says players can meet the pod racer “Boro Bolas.”
Considering it’s called “playsets”, ILM hasn’t confirmed anything other than the quote above, but it’s possible that you’ll get a mixed reality mini-game crush.
That said, ILM usually does controlled, slow information for all XR games, meticulously revealing certain bits of the game leading up to its release.
As Meta says participants (April 18-20) of Star Wars Celebration 2025 in Tokyo, Japan, get their first practice in the game, we can’t be sure to learn more quickly. More than a dozen demo stations will be available there, and Meta will also showcase demo versions of the studio’s previous VR games. Vader Immortal and Star Wars: A Tale from the Galaxy.
But why is there a mix of reality? Jose Perez III, Director Star Wars: Beyond victory, “Mixed reality opens some fascinating doors from an immersive perspective, and literally can bring galaxies far away to the comfort of players’ homes in ways that are different to what we’ve done before.”
It’s also not harmful that Meta is likely bankrolling mixed reality games, like ILM. Star Wars VR for many years.
