Zynga, publisher of Star Wars Hunters, has announced plans to shut down the game completely just nine months after its release. It appears that the PC version of Steam will be discarded.

The review was foresighted as Zynga announced it was “after careful consideration.” We have decided to update the final Star Wars content. Hunter on all platforms will be released on April 15th and the game will be available until October 1st, 2025.
“We understand that this news can be a shame and we want to ensure that this decision is not underestimated,” Zynga continued. “Your passion and dedication to the game and its community has meant the world to us. We are committed to providing visibility and updates throughout the transition process.”
The logistics are as follows: On March 25th, Season 5 will be extended for three weeks. Zynga will rerun events and shop from the season. Ranked seasons will also be extended, allowing players to play Kyber 1 rank more time.
On April 15th, the game’s final content update will be released for free, with in-game purchases being void on all platforms. New Support Hunter Tuya will join the game as part of the last update. Tuya is ready to be available to all users immediately, along with an additional slate of in-game content, and is ready to play. Zynga continues running the final rank mode leaderboard for players to compete and rotate all battlefields and game modes.
And on October 1st, the online servers officially shut down, and Star Wars: Hunter will no longer be able to play beyond this point.
As for the PC version, a shutdown notification announced that it will be released on Steam using the Early Access form this year. The Steam page contains a notification that the game is no longer available on the Steam Store.
Zynga, owned by Take-2, is best known for its Mobile Game Farm Building, Words with Friends and CSR Races, but Star Wars: Hunter forks into the console for the first time. Similarly, Star Wars: Hunter was meant to be the first Zynga-Published game to be released on PC.
“Star Wars Success: Hunters on Mobile and Nintendo Switch Devices have led to the decision to expand the game to PC,” said Yaron Leyvan, Vice President of Games at Zynga, in November.
“This is something our fan community has been hoping for, and we are extremely excited to welcome even more players to Vespaara. This moment marks a Zynga milestone as we bring one of our games to PC for the first time.”
There are still many Star Wars video games in the film, including the third Star Wars Jedi game from Respawn Entertainment and the Bitreactor turn-based tactical game to be released in Star Wars Celebration 2025.
