Sand Dunes: Awakening Developer Funcom said he’s struggling to get tired of Pvp’s Helicopters (Helicopters known in the game).
As brilliantly reported by Redditor Bombe18 in the video below, if Ornithopter is aiming at you, the moment you self-leviv, Orni will start rinsing and repeating. That’s especially bad way to do this, considering there’s little you can do to stop it unless you have a missile launcher.
“Dune’s developer, I agree to lose in PVP,” wrote Bombe18 (thank you. Eurogamer). “But (sic) crushed by Orni (es). They even suggest some solutions. They simply have Orni do damage when they collide with a player like this, or negate the ability to crush and perform air attacks.
The good news is that it didn’t take long for Funcom to notice the light-like shape of Bombe18 (and many others).
“Sorry,” replied Joel Byros, Fancom’s Chief Creative Officer. “We have people working to fix the stomping of Gumba as soon as possible.”
Birds aren’t the only ones who don’t take damage. The same applies to all vehicles. Therefore, unless Funcom deals with them at the same time, players are afraid that the PVP meta will simply roll from Ornis to something else. Your fingers cross and you’ll get a solution right away.
Aside from this PVP sadness, Dune: Awakening enjoys a great launch with a “very positive” user review rating on Steam. Within hours of appearing on June 10th, Funcom’s survival MMO has been clocked up 142,000 simultaneous players on Valve’s platformand its peak is expected to rise this weekend.
