I first saw some of the non-sonic hedgehog characters that come to Sonic Racing Cross World.
During the summer Game Fest, Sega released a new trailer for Sonic Race CrossWorlds, seeing gameplay, some pre-rendered cutscenes, and some crossover characters that can be seen in the game.
All but one of the revealed characters will be included in the game’s base roster at launch, with the other being available as part of the game’s season pass.
Sonic Racing Crossworlds will be released on September 25th.
Miku is like a dragon, a persona, and… Minnecraft?
The crossover characters shown in the trailer are Reconstruction Miku and Persona 5 Jokers, like Dragon Ichibankasuga. Each one is part of the game’s base roster, whether it’s a car or extreme gear, and is stated “more than 23 characters” according to the game’s official website.
Minecraft’s Steve has also been revealed, becoming one of six characters as part of the season pass, with overworld, nether and segments set at the end, along with his own stage, along with Sonic-themed stage choices.
I hope that including some Sega characters suggests that they’ll also come more in the game, like those who appeared in Sonic and Sega’s All-Star Racing Games, but the outlook for third-party guest characters is also exciting.
Sega himself teased other third-party characters appearing in the cross world of Sonic Race.
What’s interesting about this obvious is that it raises doubts about leaks a few days ago, or at least shows that the plan has changed since the information on the leak changed a few months ago.
The Leaker suggested that it wasn’t happening like a Persona-Dragon crossover. It included a Minecraft and Hatsune Miku crossover, but there was no art, modeling or footage.
Meanwhile, the last airbender content of SpongeBob, TMNT, and Avatar: leaks are nowhere to be found.
