Rockstar has acquired Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy. This has been renamed Definitive Edition Developer Video Games Deluxe as Deluxe.
Video Games Deluxe has a history of collaborating with Rockstar on many games, including 2017’s La Noire, La Noire: The VR Case Files, and more recently, Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy.
Don’t confuse it with Grove Street Games. This was caused by the poor quality of the original Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition, and said that the recently long-awaited update was removed from the game’s credits after fixing the issue. Video Games Deluxe has developed an update.
“After working closely over the years, we look forward to being able to deluxe video games and join the team as Rockstar Australia,” said Jennifer Kolbe, publisher of Rockstar Games.
Video Games Deluxe was founded by Brendan McNamara, founder of the La Noire developer team Bondi. In 2011, when La Noire hit the internet, a horrifying working conditions allegation hit the internet at Team Bondi. The studio was later closed, and McNamara has since kept it relatively unremarkable.
“It was an honor to work closely with the Rockstar Games over the past decade,” McNamara said in a comment issued as part of the acquisition announcement.
“We are excited to join the Rockstar Games and continue our efforts to make the best game possible.”
The establishment of Rockstar Australia is still scheduled to be released in fall 2025.
December 2023, former developer of Rockstar I tried to explain why GTA 6 comes to PC after hitting PS5 and Xbox Series X and Sand called on PC gamers to give the studio the “benefits of doubt” over the controversial launch plan.
There are plenty more in the GTA 6 including Take-Two Boss Strauss Zelnick’s response to concerns over GTA Online’s fate after GTA 6 is announced.
