Happy Monday! Microsoft has announced Gears of War: Reloaded. This is a remaster of the original 2006 game, which will be released on Xbox, PC and PlayStation on August 26th. The new glossy version comes with improved visuals and audio, cross-play and inter-progression, and all DLC for Gears of War: Ultimate Edition.
“As we approach the 20th anniversary of Gears of Wars in 2026, we reflect the meaning of this franchise: about the stories we told, the friendships we have built, and the unforgettable moments we share.
Not only can PlayStation owners play, but they can also share their love across the console barricades.
“Gears of War: Reloaded is built for shared play, whether you’re teaming up on a split screen or jumping online. The campaign supports two-player cooperatives.
However, signing in to your Microsoft account will unlock the full cross-platform feature. This allows for mutual progress, resulting in campaign and multiplayer progress across the device. You can also send invitations from Xbox, such as PlayStation or Steam to Xbox, or play with friends from Xbox, such as PlayStation or Steam. ”
Microsoft has provided a complete list of improvements that all players (whatever the console) can view.
- 4K resolution
- 60 fps in the campaign
- Multiplayer 120 fps
- High Dynamic Range (HDR)
- Dolby Vision & 7.1.4 Dolby Atmos
