If you are looking for something like meat now, we may have something that won’t hurt the bank. Of course you can buy Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered and/or Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, but if you’re on a tight budget, there are titles that will offer hours of RPG goodness.
The game is being discounted as part of Sony’s “Big Game, Big Deal.” This is currently running on the PlayStation Store for a limited amount of time.
This Action-RPG can be yours for less than the cost of your meal
The game we’re referring to, released in 2020 and developed by Cold Symmetry, is Mortal Shell (thank you, PSLS!) that even got a PS5 release in 2023.
The game is available for just $2.99 on PSN and is available for a 90% discount. This is a limited time offer as the promotion ends on May 7, 2025. The PS4 and PS5 versions are sold at the same price, so you can use the offer regardless of the console you own.
The PS5 version of the game promotes 60 frames per 60 frames, 4K resolution, and better textures. Needless to say, if you own a PS5, get that version (an extended edition in the PSN store).
The official description of the game states, “Mortal Shell is a deep action RPG that tests your sanity and resilience in a shattered world. Your enemies spare no mercy. Survival requires excellent recognition, accuracy and instinct.
If you’re interested in what we thought about the game, our review says, “Mortal Shell definitely has some interesting ideas, and given how cold symmetry the team is, what the studio put together for the first outing is actually quite impressive.
In Open Critic, the game has a “strong” rating across 126 publications.
We are looking for a better PSN transaction and will let you know where you want to use the PSN points you’ve been struggling with.
