It’s been a month since I last expanded Pokemon TCG Pocket, Space-Time Smackdown, and Smackdown. I know what that means. It’s time for the Pokemon company to drop another mini expansion and keep us on the treadmill.
Today we briefly saw a new mini expansion of the Pokémon TCG pocket, which was shown at Pokemon Presents, called Triumphant Light. It was just a quick look at the victory lights of today’s trailer, but this is a mini-expansion similar to the island of mythology, and appears to be centered around Arceus. Along the Arceus Ex card, other cards shown include Tyranitar, Abomasnow, Rotom, Raichu, and Crobat.
You also don’t have to wait long for the next theme booster pack to start cracking into a new pack of victory light, as the next theme booster pack will hit Pokemon TCG pocket tomorrow, February 28th.
Some additional gifts and missions are also on the way for anyone looking to unlock the booster pack. The special mission will be held from February 28th to March 27th and will offer a space-time Smackdown Pack. Also, if you log in by April 30th, you will receive a special gift from the Genetic Vertex Booster Pack with one card guaranteed rarity of 4 diamonds.
The rank is on the way to Pokemon TCG Pocket, and the match is expected to be live at the end of March. There’s no further news on today’s Pokemon Present, but you can learn more before the match goes up. Heads Up leaves at least some time for Pokemon TCG players to keep their best decks in order.
Fans of the game will hope that the next major update will be in parallel with the newly introduced trading mechanic changes.
However, that didn’t stop people from spending their money on the game, as Pokémon TCG Pocket made more than $10 million in sales every day at the launch of Space-Time SmackDown. It is estimated that Pokémon TCG Pocket has made more than $5 billion in less than three months.
To keep up with all the news today, check out all the compilations announced in February 2025 at Pokemon Presents.
