Since its historic launch in October 2024, Pokemon TCG Pocket has quickly become a fan favorite, and competition has been rampant. People are finding new and innovative ways to play the game, and the list of viable decks is growing continuously.
With the exciting prospect of ranked battles diving in, players certainly want to build the most powerful deck possible and lead them to victory. So this is the best time to check out some tips and tricks on how to build an elite deck.
What is an Elite Deck?
Elite decks are something you consistently win and are widely regarded as tough competition from other trainers. In Pokemon Pocket, quick setup is one of the most important aspects of the game This can be achieved by tweaking the deck to make sure all cards are needed. Choose your supporter card wisely.
Even the strongest decks are not invincible. Sometimes, a bad start hand is everything you need to get the advantage of your opponent. Three Winning Points There’s less room for recovery compared to classic Pokemon TCGs if needed to win. Starting with my personal favorites, I’ll look at three elite decks and how to build them.

This deck boasts one of the most potential damage power attacks in PTCGPHowever, power is not guaranteed. Using the powerful flowers of Celebi Ex attacks, you will flip the coin over for the energy of each grass attached to a Pokemon.
Serperior is a Stage 2 Pokemon, and it takes several turns to set up, The ability of the Jungle Totem counts all attached grass energy as two instead of one. This deck is extremely fun to play as it can flip 10 coins for one attack!
Furthermore, we found that Exeggutor helps counter many different decks that rely on attaching a lot of energy. Exeggutor’s Psychic Attack deals 80 damage, 20 damage and 20 against all energy attached to your opponent’s Pokemon. In other words, the more boost your target, the more devastating your counter attack.
Collecting all the cards you need for your dream deck is not an easy task. Participate in limited-time events, open more packs using the hourglass, and use the trading feature to exchange cards with friends.

Who doesn’t love mewtwo? With mythical slab trainer cards and the bench with Gardeboer, which accelerates energy, the Mewtwo Ex deck is a top competitor. With this deck I would like to set up Gardevoir as soon as possible Use trainer cards such as professor research, mythical slabs, pork balls and more.
Once set up, Gardevoir’s Psy Shadow ability accelerates energy, allowing Mewtwo Ex to deal 150 damage per turn. Protect Mewtwo to avoid being knocked out. If it’s gone, you’ll have a lot of difficulty in securing a victory, so keep it alive!
Use item cards like Potion and X Speed to help keep Mewtwo Ex in battle for a long time.

Palkia Ex is part of the Space-Time Smackdown set released on January 30th, 2025. This deck quickly became a front runner. Palkia’s dimension storm attack deals an impressive 150 damage in addition to dealing 20 damage to each of your opponent’s benched Pokemon..
Misty is definitely one of the strongest trainer cards availableand if you’re lucky, either pull this card within the first few turns to power up Palkia, or replenish your energy after using an attack. Vaporeon’s washout ability provides additional control by adding the energy you are playing, and Manaphy’s marine gifts accelerate your early game progress.
Common deck building tips
While building the deck, Decide what will become your strongest Pokemon and build it around it. Think about which cards will be synergistic with them, how to attach energy faster, and how to draw supportive Pokemon more efficiently.
For example, consider making Arceus Ex the centre of one of your decks and pair it with Dialga Ex. Using Dialga Ex, attach two energies to your Arceus Ex in one turn to advance your opponent.
Crobat also shares synergy with Arceus Ex. As long as you’re playing Arceus Ex, you can use Crobat’s unning link feature to deal 30 damage to your opponent’s active Pokemon From the safety of your bench.
If you want to build your deck as quickly as possible, buying Pokegold will help speed up the process, but you don’t need to play at a high level. There are plenty of powerful decks that you can build for free. Patient pack open and points are used carefully, and carefully on a rare card that doesn’t drop. You can replace some key cards with other cards until you get the best card.
With the frequent release of new sets of cards, deck building in Pokemon Pocket continues to evolve, even if the format didn’t play chords with everyone. Keep all new cards up to date and don’t be afraid to try your deck.
