It is now closer to the US after rising prices for Sony PlayStation Plus in multiple countries. This time, neighbors from the north are suffering a massive price hike.
What makes this even more worrying is what it means for our gamers, not only is another country added to the price rise list.

The price rise will take effect from June 24th (via Engadget), which will be about 15% important, rather than a small price addition. Here’s a breakdown of price increases:
oof, they’re pretty steep hikes – especially the annual premium jump from $190 $225. This is an increase of over 15% and there’s no doubt that people will rethink whether premiums are worth it.

Will PlayStation Plus prices rise in the US? If so, I wouldn’t be surprised. Aside from the PlayStation Plus service, even the PS5 consoles were priced up earlier this week. Instead of receiving a discount on consoles mid-life cycle, we found the opposite happened.
Is it because of manufacturing costs? exchange rate? Customs? Who knows at this point, but it’s a worrying trend to see what I hope doesn’t continue.
