Perhaps one of the most beloved JRPGs of all time, Persona 4 could get a remake in 17 years. Atlus Classic is an introduction to the Persona series by many fans, and has recently become popular with Persona 5 Royal and Persona 3 reloads.
At this point, the influence of the Persona series cannot be denied, with titles like Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, Thaumaturge, and Atlus’s own metaphor, Repantazio, all taking inspiration from semi-open world design and turn-based combat mechanics.
Will the Persona 4 remake be in the headline of the Xbox Showcase?
MP1st leaked news in its report The Persona 4 remake could be one of the obvious reveals of the June 8th Xbox Showcaseaccording to “a source of knowledge about the situation.”
This release is clearly planned for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/s and PC, and the Nintendo Switch 2 version is also expected. Details have not been confirmed yet, but in the truth, it portends very well for gamers on all platforms and very well for the Persona franchise as a whole.
It was thought to be in the works for a while, but no specific details have been revealed from Xbox or Atlus regarding the potential remake. The rumors were moving forward, following the registration of the web domain followed by a series of updates to the Persona 4 main website.
Given that Xbox reloaded Persona 3 as part of its 2023 showcase, it’s not a big stretch to assume that a Persona 4 remake will appear in the film and could be announced at such an event.
Details remain tenuous for now, but I think we all agree that the more noise surrounding the Persona franchise is, the better. The series is known for its detailed characters, thoughtful storytelling and unique mechanics. I hope everything continues if the rumors become true.
