The latest update of a very normal, not too inferior driving simulator, Pacific Driveadds a whole new layer of renewable potential. The Infinite Expedition update from developer Ironwood Studios is the biggest update Pacific Drive has received since its launch last year, offering a new survival game mode, along with many quality of life updates and spreading new content, giving players a great reason to revisit the zone after closing the story and fully souped out the station wagon.
As the name suggests, the highlight of the new update is the expedition. Available fairly early in the main story, this game mode offers rewards based on randomized maps with various modifiers and their difficulty. Many of these rewards are exclusive to expeditions and can include rare tools and cosmetics to invigorate your garage. On expeditions, you can use the station wagon in its current state, but you will need to keep stockpiled resources at home. Some expeditions are usually not that difficult, but putting a little clothes on your back adds a whole new level of complexity.
Unlike the main story, you can run multiple circuits on the expedition map in one run, but the longer you stick to it, the more unstable you get, with new anomalies and more dangerous modifiers. Collect enough anchors and even skilled, are allowed to leave the expedition Pacific Drive Player, my first few expeditions send me back to the garage and more than black eyes to show it.
However, this update is not a new addition. For particularly long trekking through the zone, you have the option to pause your run in the end, saving you progress without confiscating resources that may have been cleaned. Ironwood Studios has also introduced 21 new trucks for you to jam out to add many new cosmetics and spruce your rides.
Between the strange, upside down version of the Pacific Northwest and the fantastic soundtrack, Pacific Drive It quickly became one of my favorite log leaks from last year. And thanks to the renewal of the Infinite Expedition, I have many reasons to come back.
