Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered It’s just released on PC and consoles and offers a modern, refreshing version of Bethesda’s beloved 2006 Open World RPG. And before you say “Criminal Scum!”, the VR player is already under the hood.
One of Bethesda’s most notable improvements brought Forget Unrealistic Engine 5, not just the game’s original GameBryo engine, not only improves textures, characters, model animations and lighting, but also effectively opens up the game to “moders that want to jump thanks to PrayDog’s UEVR plugin” (link below).
Now, UEVR is rich in features, including 6DOF head movement, full three-dimensional 3D, front-end GUI for simple process injection, OpenXR runtime support, motion controller support, and more. Still, brave UEVR users will need to tinker with their settings to create specific mod profiles that work well in the game.
Check out the gameplay video below to see early attempts at Lunch and VR Forget To VR:

In the video description, lunchAndVR states that these are still “very early tests” and note that there is still no full 6DOF profile to share for motion control that causes some crashes.
Still, early testing looks very promising as Lunch and VR takes over rats and zombies in a rich, detailed dungeon filled with dynamic lighting.
Certainly, the above video was made using quite a beef rig. Perhaps that’s necessary too. I’m using Quest 3 using the VDXR runtime for virtual desktops set to “Ultra” only with medium graphics settings using DLSS. As for PC specs, lunchAndVR runs the game at a 72Hz refresh rate via an NVIDIA RTX 4090, an Intel Core I9-13900 CPU and 64GB of RAM.
It’s not confirmed, but VR users can jump in Forget Today I’m downloading the UEVR mod for PrayDog and probably some test profiles that are currently shared. That is, lunchandvr shares two specific profiles.Keyser ‘That Improves performance of VR (Google Drive download) and adjusts the 3DOF profile from “Pande4360”. It also includes tweaks for VR performance (Google Drive download).
Of course you will need an original copy of Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered For PC. It’s note that lunchAndVR works not only with versions available on Steam, but also with versions available on Xbox’s PC Game Pass.
