The poster for the Famiboards forum noticed this week that Nintendo’s Switch News channel showed off a new artwork from Diddy Kong. Diddy Kong’s new look includes a full mouth of teeth, the obvious removal of Nintendo’s “Racetrack” logo from his signature cap, and a more realistic looking toe. Didi’s pot belly is also grown a little, so it’s clear where his tummy ends and the fur begins.
This is an early look at the new Diddy Kong via Famiboards’ poster professor Chop.
Compare that with this 2023 artwork Diddy Kong Mario Kart 8 DeluxeBooster course pass:
“New” Diddy Kong looks closer to his Ronkey Kong country appearance than his short cameo cameo Super Mario Bros Movie. Yes, he had a complete set of pearly white people at Nintendo and an illumination animated film, but the film version of Diddy came out Slightly He was looking away, with his basketball-style jersey, as opposed to the more muscular and tummy accent crop top.
However, this is not the first time I’ve seen a Diddy on my teeth. While much of his video game appearance doesn’t cover him tooth, the second amiibo in Didicon from the Super Mario Collection shows Chompers’ young DK.
All this means Diddy Kong has teeth now. In the near future, there is no longer a need to gum all his food. Perhaps more of this toothy diddy in the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 games Donkey Kong Bananza and Mario Kart WorldAlthough the characters have not yet been confirmed to appear in either title.
