Nintendo priced the upcoming Switch 2 at $449.99, but the company was quiet about the tariffs announced by the US. However, in light of the tariffs, Nintendo also suspended pre-orders for consoles that were supposed to perform live on the weekend.
Nintendo has yet to announce the issue, but it is worth noting that the Switch 2 is likely to get some kind of increase in price tags. This is due to the console manufacturing process taking place in Vietnam, where the US has collected 46% tariffs. This will significantly increase domestic console prices.

According to Bloomberg, Bernstein analyst Robin Zhu believes that if the 10% tariff is the only thing that deals, Nintendo is likely to advance the $449.99 price tag. However, Zhu expects Nintendo to raise prices considerably if 46% tariffs are collected.
“Nintendo probably kept the price at $450 and just hit it on the margin,” said Zhu of the 10% tariff. “At Vietnam’s 46% tariff, I was expecting they would increase from $50 to $100.”
