Nintendo Responds To Fans' Discontent With Nintendo Switch 2

After a long wait, Nintendo ultimately held Nintendo Switch 2 Direct, showing off the various first-party and third-party titles running on upcoming handheld consoles.

It was during this digital event that Nintendo officially announced it. The Nintendo Switch 2 will be released on June 5th for $450.

The price range didn’t work for many fans as it was significantly more expensive than the original price of the Nintendo Switch.

Many fans began to express their disappointment early on. A few days later, Nintendo will receive an official response.

In a recent interview with CBC, Doug Bowser, head of Nintendo in the USresponding to console prices and recent criticism, it states:

“When I look at the Nintendo Switch 2, when I think about the feature set I’ve talked about, I believe pricing is suitable for the value of the machine and the overall gameplay experience.”

“We know that there are people who can’t afford the price range (for Switch 2). So, because we want other Switch platforms to be available, (people) come to our game universe and are part of the characters in these worlds and have the opportunity to see value in the platform rung they come to.”

Nintendo Switch 2 Direct - Everything has been announced “There’s a product called the Xbox 360.”

This message reminds us Don MatrixIf you need constant internet connection depending on the original design of your Xbox One, you say:

“Fortunately, we have a product for people who can’t keep connected. It’s called the Xbox360.”

To be fair, Nintendo’s response is less direct than Don Matrix. However, it doesn’t please many fans who aren’t satisfied with the price of the Nintendo Switch 2.

This issue only gets worse if recent US tariffs are shown to lead to Nintendo choosing an even more expensive final price tag for the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2.

That said, Nintendo has secured many great games to release for the expected handheld console, and analysts hope that the Nintendo Switch 2 will become one of the fastest console systems ever.
