Monster Hunter Wild I’ve been busy since I fell a few weeks ago. I’m working to improve my Hunter Rank in a high ranked environment and am quickly upset with the new armor set I’ll craft next. (Now I’m hunting gnarly jin dahaad, but the armor-plated gravio armor perfect for hammer builds may have stole my attention.) WildBut there is something missing.
Specifically, I would like to be able to wear clothes and take him like a baby.
I’m talking about Pougi from Monster Hunter. Poogies has a long history of appearing in Monster Hunter Games. I first met one in the world of hubs Monster Hunter World. There is an important ritual of sifting through a pugie playing a small song while the hunter shows him affectionately. The time the button presses correctly, Poogie loves it! There’s nothing easy in Monster Hunter games, so you can ruin your Fighting Pugi. If you make Poogie a pet at the wrong time, he gets angry and runs away.
In previous Monster Hunter, Poogie wandered through one of the main gathering areas, and before they set out on each hunt, it was a way for auspicious players to boost their luck. (Some people believe this is truly buried in Monster Hunter code, but it has never been proven or confirmed.)
But Pugi isn’t just for luck! In previous iterations, after gaining his trust and love, you can have him take Pugi in various outfits. Who doesn’t want a pig in a pig costume? ! in Monster Hunter WorldI lovingly carried a Poogie in my arms around the world of hubs, waiting for my controller to vibrate. (YouTuber Tagbacktv has a great video on how it worked.)
Monster Hunter Wild There is Poogie, but the player will not see him until Chapter 3. He is far from the village. There is little need to visit for a particular quest. This Poogie is often found in a balanced, spherical frog on its back, but it’s definitely cute! – There is actually no robust level of Poogie interaction seen in previous games. And certainly there are no striped pajamas or wool lamb costumes. All I can do is change his name with Pet Pugie.
When the Title 1 update is announced Monster Hunter Wild Next week, Capcom teased a robust gathering hub as a basic option, replacing campsites scattered across forbidden lands. Footage from Capcom’s 12-minute update suggests the joy and transformation of Hunter’s new Grand Hub, including games and the big kitchen. (That’s another feature i morning We are excited as it could mean the return of the fantastic cooking cat, Meowscular chef. )
But without the pigs I can pick up and hold, the new hub won’t be perfect in my mind. Capcom, give people (me) what they want.
