Minecraft Live 2025 is complete and dusted, and developer Mojang has announced a long list of new upgrades and content that will appear in all-time bestselling video games.
Mojang revealed Minecraft’s first game drop of the year, known as Spring to Life. This will introduce various updates to the overworld, which is “more immersive and lively” and “feel more immersive and more vibrant” biomes, including new variants of cows, pigs and chickens, as well as new surrounding features (glittering firefly bushes, falling leaves, whispers of sand). Spring to Life will be released on March 25th.
This year’s second game drop doesn’t have a name yet, but I don’t know what it will include. There is a new block called dried gust, which rehydrates to form a new MOB variant called gustring (baby gust, essentially) that becomes a new Happy Ghast MOB variant. Ghast Harness is used to fly Happy Ghast, which can carry up to four players.
Today’s big update was a major visual upgrade to Minecraft, known as “Vibrant Visuals.” The lively visuals never affect Minecraft gameplay.

Minecraft Live 2025 – All announced
- Mojang Studios has announced the name, launch date, features, and upcoming features for this year’s first game drop.
- The first game drop of the year is called “Spring to Life,” and introduces various updates to the Overworld, which makes Biomes more immersive and lively.
- Spring to Life adds some warm and cold variations of the classic Minecraft mob, glittering firefly bushes, falling leaves, new surrounding features like whispers, and more reasons to explore.
- This year’s second game drop includes a new dry gust block, a new gustring and Happy Gust mob variant, and a gust harness.
- The dried gust is a little smaller than a regular block, with a cute little tentacle and a grumpy look on his face.
- Pick up dried gust from the nether and put it in the water and end up with a much happier garstring.
- The gurstring floats around the overworld like a small balloon. They snowball feed and eventually grow into happy flying gusts.
- If you are creating a Happy Gust harness, seduce them to get closer to the harness itself before jumping. From there you and three other players can fly around in one happy ghast.
- The new locator bar feature located at the bottom of the screen allows you to see which direction your friends are in. It will help you find friends while flying happy ghasts.
- “Happy Gerst is useful for survival mode builders, because “it’s like being creative but still alive,” Mojang said. This platform allows you to place and get off anywhere in the sky.
- Mojang Studios has announced a visual upgrade for Minecraft, entitled Vibrant Visuals.
- Mojang revealed the exclusive A Minecraft Movie Clip and announced a live in-game movie themed live event.
- The live event will be held in Midport Village, where players will join Steve and his companions in the film in an evolving multiplayer experience where players protect the village from Piglin attacks in three mini-games.
- The live event will be held from March 25th to April 7th. Complete all the assignments and earn Yearn Cape.
