Sony properties are across Microsoft games. Sea of Thieves received new cosmetics from the world of Destiny 2, bringing the battle against the darkness to the high seas.
The Lightbearer Cosmetics set offers new flags, ship cosmetics, costume sets and more. In the trailer for a set of new items, you can find a variety of fate references, from the castaway costumes to ghosts hanging from the front of the ship. Pirate Emporium offers options for decorating ships and sailors with Destiny Cosmetics.
Sea of Thieves went on to PlayStation last year as one of several Microsoft properties that jumped into Sony’s console. Meanwhile, Destiny is on Xbox and stayed there through Sony’s acquisition of Bungie. This may blur some perceived console lines, but it’s a fun crossover, with the castaway costumes in particular very suitable for the thief world.
Season 15 of The Thief Season 15 was recently released, adding a variety of new encounters, voyages and new content to the long-term piracy experience. Rare’s game has been floating for quite some time, having been successful on the PlayStation 5, breaking the EU sales charts when it advanced to the platform.
Meanwhile, Destiny 2 launches heresy and continues to portray the path from the conclusion of a big narrative in its final form. The Space Furling Shooter had a recent crossover, especially along with Star Wars.
Both games managed to survive the changing, changing tides of live service game production, so it’s nice to see them paired up in this sea of burglar crossovers. Cosmetics currently lives in the thieves’ sea, but it remains to be seen whether Destiny2 will receive the sea of thieves’ content. In this writer’s opinion, they should place a large pirate ship in space. Just a thought.
