Marvel Rivals Tier List It’s proof of inherent truth. Not all heroes (or villains) are constructed equally. In season 1 of the competitive shooter game (added four characters, three maps, battle pass and skins), all characters are technically viable, but there are clearly more powerful people than the other characters.
Below is a edited tier list the current Marvel Rival Meta (As of the release of Season 1.5), each character will be given a rank from “Best of the Best” (S-Tier) to “Avoid All Cost” (f-Tier). Please read it completely Marvel Rival A season 1 tierist at the time of midseason renewal.
Marvel Rivals Season 1.5 Best Characters List

Image: Tiermaker via passthecontroller
Season 1.5 Marvel Rival The game is seen in very healthy places, with only nine characters falling below the C layer. For a game with 37 heroes, you’re hard to find “bad” stuff – perhaps other than one.
The above tierists (built with Tiermaker) will have a general view of Season 1.5 updates, with each rank divided into the table below:
Finally, it is worth noting here that the tiers can appear different at different ranks. Some high ranked heroes are played mostly at lower ranks, while some low rank rulers are significantly lowered with higher ELO levels. As Season 1.5 is still pretty early, this list could change in a week or so, as Meta won’t shrink the cement until it’s close to Season 2 release in a few more weeks.
Marvel Rivals Season 1.5 S-layer character

Image: NetEase Game via passthecontrollers
As a rule, S-class heroes are something you absolutely need to know how to play if you are primarily in the role you are given. Understanding all of these heroes and how team-up abilities work is essential to success. Many people will be seen in the game.

role |
Why are they a layer? |
---|---|---|
Dr. Strange | Vanguard | Dr. Strange is one of the hardest to kill heroes in Marvel’s rivals, and is exceptional in protecting his allies from a major explosion. Paired with his unique portal and a very powerful ultimate, he is a difficult pick to beat the top tank. |
Spatula | Duelist | Hera is one of the most consistent damage dealers in the game if you can hit a shot. She can defeat targets after targets and has some great team ups. |
Invisible woman | Strategist | The invisible woman pumps out many healings and can control the battlefield with various crowd control movements. Better yet, her invisibility makes it difficult to close her down and kill her. |
Loki | Strategist | Loki is a lot of work to do the right thing, but with the right hand he is almost impossible to kill and can pump out many healings. His ultimate is also the best in the game as it allows him to mirror other characters. |
Luna Snow | Strategist | Luna Snow has the ultimate ultimate Marvel rival. In addition to this, she has great healing, damage and stun. |
Magneto | Vanguard | Magneto is a consistent definition of a tank. He’s very hard to kill when he’s playing selfishly, but he can extend some of his safety to allies and make it a lot of tankers at big moments. |
Namor | Duelist | Namor and his pets are able to deal a ton of damage from afar, comparable to characters like Hera. But what makes Namor so big is his immunity bubble, which allows him to survive the diver. |

Winter Soldier | Duelist | Winter Soldier is his ultimate and best known. He can wipe out the team over and over again. However, his hooks and powerful main fires pose a threat to him, even if he is charging his ultimate. |
Wolverine | Duelist | Wolverine is the ultimate tank buster character, capable of adducting high health targets and killing them from the team. He strikes fear into the hearts of every tank main. |
Marvel Rivals Season 1.5 A-layer characters

Image: NetEase Game via passthecontrollers
In general, layer A heroes are great. They are not the best heroes and they don’t even appear on top. It’s meta, but it’s very solid. These are all heroes and you should be grateful for everyone to thank the team, but you won’t get a ban as you reach a higher rank.
character |
role |
Why are they tier? |
---|---|---|
Captain America | Vanguard | Captain America is a very versatile tank, capable of blocking big hits to protect his team and dealing damage to solo players who catch him alone. |
big | Vanguard | Groot can deal more damage than any other tank in the game with his powerful walls. But his true value is as a frontline beast with a large amount of health and powerful crowd control. |
Hulk/Bruce Banner | Vanguard | The Hulk is extremely mobile and is extremely difficult to kill with Marvel rivals. He is a backline threat, dealing heavily damage and can protect his own support with the shield. |
magic | Duelist | Magik is slippery and is great at handling multiple backline targets at once. This really poses a threat to the duelists and strategists, and she essentially needs a tank to help the team deal with her. |
Mantis | Strategist | Both Mantis help the team do great damage with her boost, keeping them healthy with healing over time. Paired with the second best healing ultimate, she is a great choice. |
Psylocke | Duelist | Psylocke can jump into enemy team backlines to get murder or attack from range. Her ultimate is also very powerful and can close objective territory. |
Spiderman | Duelist | Spider-Man can deal a lot of damage and destroy the backline. He does a lot of work to learn, but the results are valuable in the current meta. |
case | Vanguard | The problem is a tank that his crowd is difficult to deal with to control immunity, making him virtually unstoppable. |
Thor | Vanguard | Thor is a great bully tank and can do great damage if he is given the necessary support to survive his enemy. |
poison | Vanguard | Venom is a very mobile diving tank that allows you to quickly reach the backline. He does not deal a lot of damage, but acts as a powerful distraction for the enemy. |
Marvel Rivals Season 1.5 B-layer character

The heroes of B tier bring a lot to the table, but the situation and the niche. Some of these heroes may be A or S layer in proper circumstances, but in a typical setting it is not of the same caliber as the hero above.
character |
role |
Why are they B-class? |
---|---|---|
Adam Warlock | Strategist | Adam Warlock is a very technical strategist who can do great damage and keep his allies alive. His normal play is great, but his ultimate can swing the entire game on its own. |
Black Panther | Duelist | Black Panther is fast and consistent and is what you want for a duelist. He is also much easier to play than most other duelists. |
Cloak & Dagger | Strategist | Cloak & Dagger offers extremely powerful healing and pretty decent damage. |
Hawkeye | Duelist | Hawkeye needs precise purpose, but he is the only hero who can regularly acquire squeeze targets he regularly shot, making it extremely valuable to his team. |
Pen Parker | Vanguard | A penis parka is a very powerful tank in the right situation. On the defensive map, she can hold the zone better than most other characters. |
Iron Man | Duelist | By himself, Iron Man is a decent hero who can do a lot of damage and has a powerful ultimate that anyone can shut down. Paired with his Hulk team up, he’s even stronger. |
Punisher | Duelist | Punisher is a character from the Marvel Rivals shooter, allowing two guns to slender enemies. His kit is a bit limited, but he has what he needs to succeed in most situations. |
Marvel Rivals Season 1.5 C-level characters

Image: NetEase Game via passthecontrollers
The C-Tier Heroes are things that don’t seem worth playing when comparing them to other options. However, they are still playable and run on some teams, or if they are used by certain players. While you can really surprise your opponent team with a pocket pick in the C tier, you probably should have learned the best heroes in full.
character |
role |
Why are they layers? |
---|---|---|
Iron Fist | Duelist | The iron fist has very high burst potential and is extremely slippery. He practices a bit to fully understand, but a good iron fist can destroy your backline in seconds. |
Jeff the Land Shark | Strategist | Jeff has decent support features in his regular kit, but the ultimate lack of good healing really hurts him. Still, if the enemy player is not paying attention, his ultimate can win the game. |
Moon Night | Duelist | Moon Knight deals a lot of area damage and if you’re not careful, he can wipe and wipe the entire team. His Ankhs are easy to close, but they are in a cooldown low enough that he is constantly undergoing decent damage. |
Rocket Raccoon | Strategist | Rocket Raccoon can automatically revive players on BRB devices. This is a very powerful effect. Combined with decent healing and decent damage, he is a great choice when S-layer is not available. |
Squirrel girl | Duelist | The squirrel girl is a very simple character, but her explosive nuts do most of the effort and do a lot of damage. Her ultimate rework in season 1 is also very strong and can corner the enemy. |
D-layer characters from Marvel Rivals Season 1.5

Image: NetEase Game via passthecontrollers
The D-layer heroes are, very frankly, quite inferior. If you have one in your team, losing automatically isn’t that bad, but it’s probably bad enough to have a better option.
character |
role |
Why are they D-layer? |
---|---|---|
Black Widow | Duelist | Black Widow cannot one shot of the target. She is being pushed into the first person, so she has a hard time getting consciousness around here. |
Human torch | Duelist | Human torches can do good damage, especially in his team up. However, he is troubled by a lack of mobility and has become the target of some of the most powerful duelists in the game. |
Scarlet Witch | Duelist | The Scarlet Witch deals very low damage over time, even if it is reliable because its damage does not require AIM. When paired with the powerful but highly encounterable ultimate, she doesn’t bring enough value to the team. |
Marvel Rivals Season 1.5 F-layer character

Image: NetEase Game via passthecontrollers
The heroes in the f layer are bad and you shouldn’t play them. And you should never burn your teammates in the game Marvel Rivalyou need to worry if someone is choosing one of these heroes. Because it’s a little too close to playing 4V5.
character |
role |
Why are they F class? |
---|---|---|
Mr. Fantastic | Duelist | Mr. Fantastic is a hybrid damage dealer and tank, but he’s a bit hybrid at the moment, so he’s not good at either role. |
