Electronic Arts has officially confirmed the release date for the next entry in the Madden NFL series, and the series appears to be a complete leap into the current generation of consoles.
The Madden NFL 26 debuted on August 14, 2025, and will debut in a three-day early access period for pre-orders for the Deluxe Edition.
The Madden NFL 26 confirms that the series will ultimately head towards Nintendo’s hybrid handheld console, but that means the series leaves the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on the bench. Neither final platform has been confirmed in the Madden NFL 26, so the series is completely on the PS5 and Xbox series era.
Several pre-order options are available, including loyalty offers for players in the Madden NFL 25, 24, or 23. This gives you 10% off your purchase and a 99 OVR player pack for the Madden NFL 25 Ultimate team.
