Release dates aren’t just for release dates, as some are included in the new 10-minute trailer shared and some are included in the expensive Collector’s Edition.
The new trailer for Death Stranding 2 is full of mystery
Death Stranding 2 will begin on March 17th, 2025.
Although the details of the story are lacking, Kojima has creeped up something special for longtime fans. I don’t want to ruin it, but anyone who watches the trailer will see a character who is very familiar to one of Kojima’s past works.
Just a few days ago, rumors emerged that Death Stranding 2 has a Collector’s Edition (the same as its predecessor). This was also revealed at the event. Now we know what it has.

Prices for Collector’s Edition have not been revealed, but we are hoping to hover over the $200-$250 range.
With the release date for Death Stranding 2 set to June, this releases Sony’s Holiday Release window is freed for something else. Can this slot be filled with Ghost, Ghost of Yotei, a sequel to sucker punch production Tsushima? If that’s the case, you wouldn’t be surprised.
Of course, Grand Theft Auto 6 is expected to be released during that period, so it’s understandable that most video game publishers avoid releasing nearby games. That being said, the majority of readers still don’t believe that Rockstar can deliver that day. Time will tell if they are correct or not.
Death Stranding 2 will be available on PS5 only on June 26th. It is expected to appear on your PC in a few months. For reference, Death Stranding 1 was released in November 2019 and ported to PC in July 2020.
