Though not released in Early Access, Inzoi has been the subject of some controversy, developers keep player feedback in mind.
Inzoi producer and director Hyungjun “Kjun” Kim took him to Inzoi’s Steam page and said that Life Simulator will address player concerns about the use of Denuvo Anti Tamper and that DRM will be removed from early access builds.
Denuvo is a common sticking point for PC players. This is because it has been shown to have a negative impact on performance, in addition to limiting how much you can modify the game.
Kjun says the decision to remove DRM from Inzoi came after consultations with “teams around the world” in response to community feedback.
The team is “committed” to make Inzoy “highly modified”
The announcement post believes that deleting Denuvo is more likely to cause copyright infringement, but as part of its commitment to motivating the game to ensure that players are viewed properly, it has the advantage of outweighing the risk of making the game more “freely configurable.”
As mentioned in the online showcase, we are working on making Inzoi a highly modable game. The first phase of official mod support will be released in May, allowing players to create custom content using tools such as Maya and Blender.
He continues, they plan to expand mod support to more parts of the game in the future, allowing for a highly customizable experience.
He concludes his post with an apology that “doesn’t match more closely with players’ expectations about this sensitive issue,” and has approved requests for Inzoy to be “better than anyone else” by continuing to share feedback.
The customization aspect of Inzoi is clearly at the forefront of the game, even if developers don’t always do anything to promote it in the most popular ways, such as using generated AI at a time when AI was at the heart of multiple gaming industry controversy.
That being said, Inzoi’s developers seem to be trying hard to ensure that AI usage is as ethical as possible, and they don’t look like Steam Mind players as the game has won the crown as the platform’s most wish list game past Eldenling Night Towing and Hollow Knight: Silkson.
Hopefully they will surrender themselves to their commitment to both mods and listening to fan feedback when they shoot for Sim’s chokehold in the Life Sim genre.
