What happens after becoming a Grand Champion?
Arena in In is a great source of experience and money if you take on the challenge of winning a frightening combat encounter. Becoming a Grand Champion will be a considerable journey, but you can use this guide to show you what you stand for.
You don’t have to be at a certain level to do arena, but you’ll benefit greatly from some leveling and looting beforehand. But if you’re having itching, you can start from the moment you leave the sewer.
The arena is just inside the Imperial city and even has location markers so you can teleport from anywhere right away. There are a few options out there.
What is an arena?
The arena features armed Gladiator-style combat, where competitors fight each other.
When you reach the arena, you can do one of two things. Betting is a good way to make money right away, but if you’re looking for something a little more appealing, you can join the fight and rank up.
Bet
Talking to someone standing outside the arena gives you a great summary of how betting works. You can bet on a battle with the contestants and then watch the round play out.
You can bet 25, 50, or 100 gold, and if you win, double your money every time. If you enjoy gambling, it could be a solid source of money for early game games.
The bed is a 50/50 shot in the dark, so don’t think about it too much. It’s still a gamble after all, so it’s not a sure way to make money.
Each round lasts about three minutes, so stand there and watch people hit each other. Once it’s all said and done, go back and collect your prize money!
Fineting
To fight in the arena, you need to head to the bloody slug and talk to Owyn. You will need to choose something like armor to wear. Light or heavy.
You can plunder all the gear in the arena and grab both the light and heavy armor of the cabinet.
Once you’ve signed up all and got your armor, you can talk to Owyn again in the armor. However, before you enter the world of blood, courage and glory, there are a few rules you should know.
-
The arena is open only from 9am to 9pm.
-
You are not allowed to wager on yourself.
-
You must wear the provided armor.
-
You cannot plunder weapons or armor from fallen enemies.
Some rules are certainly buzz kills, but don’t let that stop you from climbing the ladder! In addition to all the XP you earn throughout the battle, you will also get some great gold every time you complete.
So let’s dig into setting up these battles and how you can progress through the ranks. The first number isn’t too difficult, but at some point you’ll need even more levels and better gear.
Battle in the Arena
You might think that fighting in the arena is something only warriors can do, but there doesn’t seem to be a requirement to stop magical users from joining.
This is an important fact to remember, so your enemies can use something like repair magic and sometimes can be used. It becomes more common as you go from the rank of Pit Dog to the Grand Champion.
This is a table with all ranks, their fights, and their payments:

This is a battle for death, so if you want to get to the top, bring your best available gear and plenty of healing items. After each battle, you are welcome to refill items and gain several levels. Don’t worry, the arena will not go anywhere without you.
If you haven’t reached level 10 before starting the arena, you will definitely hit a wall at some point. I attacked three Argonians myself.
Once you’ve finished the battle, you can relax in the laundry stand in the Red Room, a room leading to the arena.
Fighting strategy
Almost every fight works the same way until you hit the rank of Gladiator. The only exception is the battle of the Bossomer Twins. This is summarised into first gaining the shooter, as she falls pretty easily.
Once you arrive at the gladiator, you need to make sure you are ready for the battle. The market is just outside the right side so don’t be afraid to spend some of your hard-earned prize money.
Gladiator
Three Argonians
-
Only one of them must have a weapon. Getting them out gives you a great advantage.
-
They are unarmed, so they can disarm you.
Kahjiit
-
This helped defend the first few hits.
-
Power Attacks deal enough damage to overcome this defense and build health.
Breton
-
He uses Elven Longsword so he can bite you pretty easily.
-
Blocking minimizes damage and provides the openings needed for power attacks.
hero
Imperial
-
Use your katana to attack several times and attack quickly and in succession.
-
Try to avoid his swing until he makes a power attack. When you block it, you usually surprise him.
all
-
Magic users who love his little fireballs try moving horizontally to avoid these.
-
His close range skills are very small so if you get close, it’s fine.
Yellow Team Champion
-
Another pretty crazy three could be four in one.
-
Attacks shooters to prevent them from producing ghosts and making the fight unnecessary difficult.
-
Your special companion, Pork Chop, do his thing and draw some aggroes to make your life easier.
The pork chops are amazing, and you can’t let him die. Otherwise, everyone will be sad. Never disappoint the pork chops.
How to become a Grand Champion
If you want to be the best, you need to beat the best. And trust me, he’s not a pushover. Unless you complete his side quest, he is pretty tough, which will make the fight astronomically easier.
You can talk to Agronak before taking him in a deadly battle. Agronak gives you side quests to find your father and begins the origins of the Gray Prince Side quest. If you want to beat him at his best, you are welcome to challenge him and ignore the quest, but you should be ready for a battle worthy of the champion title.
Whenever you’re ready to fight, talk to Ysabel and choose a title. This is what you call Cyrodiil as a whole, so choose wisely.
You can wear anything to the final match, so equip all the best gear and prepare for your life’s battles.
No side quests
This is a battle of attrition and if you’re at level 10, under level 10, it doesn’t look very good for you since level 10. Due to his defensive statistics and a large health pool, it will take time to cut him to size.
Please keep moving. But be careful if he can catch you. He could probably do some major damage. If there are no soothing items, I definitely recommend wearing stockings as this will be a long one.
Dodging his big attack and blocking his small attacks makes it much easier.
In the side quest
Complete the side quests is pretty easy. You will need to head to Crowhaven, northwest of the Anvil.
Once there, it becomes almost business as usual. Clears all enemies, finds a locked door, behind which is Lord Rovidix, the father of the epic champion.
If you didn’t guess from his name, he’s a vampire, so be careful as long as you don’t want to be a vampire either. Luckily, you can always cure your vampire.
Find the desk on the second floor, grab the journal and return it to Agronak. He teaches you some fight moves before you have to break the news.
-
Blade Skills +3
-
+3 Blocks skills
-
+3 Athletics Skills
Agronaks do not fight back in the final round. He simply stands there asking you to punish him, sort of retaliation in a twisted sense.
Now you are the grand champion of the arena, but the fun isn’t over yet.
What happens after becoming a Grand Champion?
Aside from the honor and glory you receive, you will get a great sum of 1,000 gold and annoying new followers. Going out of blood, you will be found by this elf who wants nothing but obey you for the rest of your life.
We welcome him to come with you and provide some color commentary as you travel through the land. He is told to leave, or you can dispose of him in other more creepy ways.
He will be resurrected outside the arena in three days, regardless of what happens to him. You can always find him again and have him tagged.
By talking to Isabel, you can set up weekly battles with monsters for coins. This can be a beneficial source of income. Now that you’ve become a Grand Champion, you can finally deliver that magic you were supposed to do, or instead, you can work on leveling up. Your choice.
