Yesterday, Passthecontroller revealed it Hollow Knight: Silkson It’ll be playable At the Australian Museum in September 2025shared a sprite sheet taken from a highly anticipated game. And…well. Internet Internet Ed.
“In what circumstances do you need a naked hornet sprite?” I asked One commenter on Reddit thread Exclusive sheet analysis.
Of the dozen images of Silkson Star’s Hornet, most of them show her in a range of relaxed poses in response to her fight. (I’ve included a close-up below, but you can see it at original (It is located on the right side of the image, just below the ring at the top):
“Is the situation in the game asking her to remove the cape and hold it like an exhausted dad who has returned from work? This is cursed.” Redditor.
“Is this true???? This isn’t a sprite that will become a Silkson. What does that look like????” Assumption Another, another I cried out: “In what circumstances do you need this sprite?”
And…well, it’s all a bit thirsty.
“That’s why we don’t have to bother to create mods.” Respondentanother room I said: “We’ll go straight to ESRB 18+ about this.”
“The Hornet will put your cape back into place. Another thread op,someone I answered: “This looks so wrong.” and “This is completely unnecessary.”
“I don’t like this.” announcement Another.
For its value, the most plausible explanation may be that you can upgrade or change the Hornet cloak… but for now, your imagination will run riots, Hornet fans.
The Team Cherry sequel is currently one of the most anticipated games in the world, breaking the Steam Wishlist chart for years. Silkson made a brief appearance on Nintendo’s Switch 2 Direct last monthand very much patient fans’ relief soon after Team Cherry nailed the 2025 release window. And now we know it’s playable for those who can take part in Australia’s National Screen Culture Museum ACMI starting September 18th, so some speculate that they could consider launching around August, but of course nothing has been confirmed.
Silksong can be played at the Melbourne Museum as part of the video game exhibition The world of gamesand displays that explore the game’s design and artistic orientation.
