June feels like it’s far away, at least for magic fans eagerly awaiting the upcoming Final Fantasy set. But to get over everyone, today’s Wizard Coast is just the first to see new cards you’ve never seen before from the set, such as Sephiroth, Yophy, Cecil, Garland, Chaos.
This new look includes some new cards and some art variations, including the four Commander cards we’ve already seen: Tidus, Cloud, Y’shtola and Terra. In addition to a variety of powerful legends like Sephiroth and Cecil, we also look at new food token art and art variations on cards such as Moogle Merchant and Stilltskin. Sin, Punishment of Spara. Today’s public also shows off some special features of the set, including a subpoena. This is part of the first magical Saga creature that allows players to seek assistance in combat (see Summoning: Shiva in the Gallery). Additionally, double cards return as seen in the Dark Knight and Redeemed Paladin, as seen in the two sides of Cecil.
In total, the Final Fantasy Set features over 100 legendary creature cards, including 55 legendary borderless cards. Part of it is portrayed by fan favorite artists throughout Final Fantasy history.
Magic: Gathering’s Final Fantasy Set is a fully draftable standard legal set that is released alongside four pre-built Commander decks themed on each of the four Final Fantasy games. 6, 7, 10, and 14. The set will start on June 13th.
