The editing appears to revolve around shrinking Donkey Kong’s new, huge mouth and making his soft brows more strict.
Donkey Kong Inn Bananza is an expressive goofball, but his attempt to recreate Valdez’s Donkey Kong look from a rare game Donkey Kong Country Give him a stricter, old school edge. Of course, it is worth noting that these are still images. Just as it looks good, Donkey Kong’s old, unusual designs may not have worked in the art style that Nintendo wanted to use Bananza. And while I love Valde’s work and I appreciate the time they put in this passion project, it’s important not to “Nintendo, hire this guy” when the work of creating video games is much more involved and complicated process. Some of us may prefer the old look of Donkey Kong, but we should not dismiss the efforts. BananzaDevelopment team along the way. The game still looks very good.
