Hasbro wants to have Marvel Legends fans on board this year as they unveil a new wave of Marvel Gamerverse action figures inspired by Classic Marvel vs. Capcom games.
Check out the slideshow gallery below. Take a closer look at these stylish new people, including new takes by Wolverine, Thanos, Venom, Captain America, and Juggernaut.
These numbers will be released as both a two-pack and a single number, depending on the size of the diagram in question. The Full Marvel vs Capcom lineup includes:
- Wolverine vs. Silver Samurai
- Psylocke vs. Thanos
- Captain America vs Venom
- War Machine vs. Omega Red
- Gargantos (formerly known as Schmagoras)
- Jaguar Note
Hasbro has released most of these characters in the past in the form of Marvel Legends (except Gargantos), but these numbers are decorated and better capture the dynamic sprite design of classic games. Wolverine, for example, has exaggerated claws and masks, while Venom is decorated with blue colour schemes that will withstand his game. Psylocke’s numbers show the extreme clarity possible with these new numbers.
Obviously, not all characters in the Marvel vs. Capcom game are represented here, but collectors can always fill out their lineup to turn their eyes to past Marvel Legends releases. At this point, even relatively vague characters like Marrow and Blackheart are featured on the Marvel Legends line. The major challenge is to assemble the Capcom side of the list. For the rest of the Ryu, Chun-li and the Street Fighter Gang, would you recommend the Jada Toys Street Fighter Line?
Hasbro also showed off a line of figures from Fantastic Four: First Steps, including the prestigious Foursome along with Julia Garner’s Silver Surfer. Check them out in the slideshow gallery below.
Pre-orders for Fantastic Four: First Step numbers open on Friday, May 30th at 10am on the Hasbro Pulse website and other retailers, with numbers scheduled for release in the summer of 2025.
Until then, why not check out the many Marvel collections available on the Passthecontroller store?
