Rockstar will check out new GTA 6 trailer footage for the base PS5. This is an exciting fan for future releases.
Yesterday, Rockstar Games surprised everyone by dropping the second trailer for Grand Theft Auto 6 without prior announcements. As expected, this allowed fans to catch the GTA 6 Fever again.
The appeal of Grand Theft Auto 6 is so big that we have taken up the Pointer Sisters Hot Togther song that was used in the trailer.
As the numbers skyrockets on Spotify, hot together skewers
On the music streaming app Spotify, the 1986 song rose at an incredible 182,000% in the two hours after the trailer’s premiere.
Global Head of Spotify’s editor Sulinna Ong has issued a statement (via IGN).
Since the trailer was released, it has been viewed over 80 million times on Rockstar Games’ official channel. They don’t even consider re-uploads or social media engagement. Of course, it’s nothing new to have old songs shoved into the spotlight. Because after the Netflix show was used at a key moment in season 4, we saw Kate Bush’s use of “Runsing That Hill.”
Aside from the new trailer, Rockstar has dropped off a ton of new screenshots and information. Fans will want to know more about upcoming Megaton releases.
If you think the second trailer looks a little better, there’s some good news on Rockstar. The developers confirmed that everything was running in-game on the base PS5, and the high-end PC tricks were not done without progressing.
Hopefully, you don’t have to wait more than a year before hearing more about the GTA 6. When released on PS5 and Xbox Series X|s on May 26, 2025, this game sets sales records, so it’s really not important.
