Rockstar Games are late Grand Theft Auto 6It was previously expected to be next year in the fall of 2025. A highly anticipated game has at least a confirmed release date. It will be released on May 26th, 2026.
“We are very sorry that this is slower than we expected,” Rockstar said in a statement. “The interest and excitement surrounding the new Grand Theft Auto was truly humble for the entire team. I would like to thank you for your support and patience as you work to end the game.
“In every game we released, the goal has always been to try and raise your expectations, and Grand Theft Auto VI is no exception. Understand that you need to provide this extra time at a level of quality you expect and deserve.
“We look forward to sharing more information with you soon.”
This news isn’t a big surprise. Rockstar is known for its gaming delays, but this game has always had a great ambition and scope. That last major release, 2018 Red Dead Redemption 2I was late three times. However, recently in February, Rockstar’s parent company Take-Two Interactive claimed it. GTA 6 It was still going well for release in the fall.
